The 19 bags are growing on me but the price is still not worth it to me, especially since the inside is not leather. I think Chanel needs to pipe down because they are doing the absolute most.
I like this bag and am very tempted to get it in the large size but am worried it will look dated in a few years since so many aspects are so trendy and honestly it’s quite pricey for a trend bag. What are your thoughts?
This was my fear when I first saw it in 2019 so I gave it a lot of thought before shopping around for one. Of course, in comparison, a classic flap is always going to be a classic flap, i thought the boy bag would be a forever bag for me also but i did end up parting with it after a few years. I guess it’s hard to say a bag could be with you forever but on the plus side, chanel always has a pretty good return when you sell a piece you’re ready to let go of.
Love the Chanel19 congrats. For reference, the C19 medium (what we call small) it’s like a medium Classic flap in size, the C19 large (again we call it medium) it’s like a Jumbo or B30 in size.
I have four of them (Oreo, caramel, black and beige in sizes small and medium) and I loooooove them! They are just so cute and casual, with a hint of elegance. Never selling them!
This was a great review! I will be pulling out my large caramel 19 tomorrow for 1st time and so excited I was able to score the 2nd time around. I think SS22 they're doing a So Black version....I've always wanted a Chanel with that combo...may have to take a look🤷🏾♀️

In small I have a jumbo classic flap, a medium and on the waitlist for small white It’s so hard to decide because of the price increase quota and then also I can’t try or see in person!
Would you still recommend the medium classic flap in black caviar with gold hardware as a first Chanel bag? When I finished law school in 2018 I told myself my reward once I paid off my loans would be that bag. Now the prices of the 19 are about the price of classic flap 4ish years ago.

Recommend thicker if you want more structure, but the thinner one for more of a protective layer/smaller bags so it doesn't take up much space!
