@@marekgeist1 There's this 696 I'm interested into; it has 37k kilometers. I know that it's mainly about how you take care of it, but is it too much for this bike? What do you suggest? Thanx
@@Ruben-vp3tl Hi Ruben, How nice that you are looking for a 696, they are great bikes and once you ride Ducati you really start to appreciate the community. Great! The mileage doesn't matter much with these bikes, if the maintenance is done periodically these bikes can go a long way. Keep in mind that at 36,000 you need a major service with the famous Desmo belts, I knew this so I took this into account when negotiating. This costs quite a bit, I have had everything done preventatively and also had the front forks overhauled. Also the basics like all the fluids etc are very important. But now it drives like a dream!!!! Highly recommended, but look critically at a bike and if it doesn't feel right, look for the next one.
@@marekgeist1 Hi again! I've finally bought it, and I'm really enjoying! I have another question if you don't mind: do you wash it with water? I'd like to use water, but I noticed that there are some electric cables near the forks, at the front.. could it be damaging?
@@Ruben-vp3tl Great, let's go for a ride together then. You can just wash it with water, but not with high pressure. And don't spray water where you know the air filter and electric cables are, you can get it wet but try not to overdo it. Apart from that good chain grease and cleaning it you should not forget, maybe a paddock stand is handy, I just have one from HBM, works well :)
What’s the mileage?
Around 36xxx KM
