Datura

It's been a long time since I've been properly putting out music. I decided against overly perfecting this track. It sounded decent with my normal headphones and my mixing headphones so I just wanted to get it out already. I spent 9 hours in total working on it.
Made in FL Studio. It's my first properly completed track using it, despite how long I've been using it. The previous track I released with it is still incomplete so I'm not counting it.
I have one more track done already and I WILL release it soon.
Because it's always so long in between uploads that I keep doing life updates, here's today's one:
I've been spending a lot of time writing a story which takes place in the same universe as the game I've been working on a design doc for. It's supposed to be years after the end of the game. It's currently at 80k words after two and a half months of writing, and I'll share chapters of it somewhere when they're more properly complete.
It's inspired me to resume creating video game assets in Blender and to try learning to draw once again. I'm going to try making loads of basic assets for me to start some basic learning projects with. As I get more used to the game dev workflow, I'll be able to start on a more proper game. Not my dream game, but a shorter, more limited scope game which shares a lot of mechanics so I can slowly lead into making the game I've always wanted to.
I recently got a new job that actually aligns with my interests so I'm not nearly as unhappy as I used to be. I don't dread going to work and I feel more willing to work on hobbies again.
