It's not that girls are not capable. Girls destroy guys at University. The thing is that girls are often not interested in engineering. The hotter and more femenine girls are in nursing and business. No offense, of course. There's some pretty hot tomboys at engineering.
Conquering Spaniard soww tbh in my class we are with 4 girls wich 2 of them are really feminine. I am a feminine girl and I absolutely love studying engineering.
I was talking to a friend about sustainability and how we cannot have energy efficiency without fossil fuels. We said we must find a way to obtain the amount of energy a combustion reaction makes without producing carbon dioxide. Then we started to go into using cold fusion, explosions, natural disasters, and anything else that can create so much energy so quickly. After that, we started brainstorming ways we could store that energy and use it. Ultimately, without carbon dioxide emission, our planet would be saved 😂. There’s so much more but I’d be here forever typing.
I would also add that one of the awesome things is that through engineering, physics and math majors you get incredible grit. The workload is usually insane and difficult, you will have to fight through witch blood seat and tears to cone out on top with good results, which means that difficult parts of life are easier to handle, like you said, we are all suffering together! Not only that, but I am getting better and better at digesting a ton of information in a short amount of time, handling very stressful situations and I learned to embrace seemingly impossible problems that I face.

I’ve been a mechanical engineer for 12 years. And I can say that it is very rewarding when there’s work. You get to tackle a lot of really interesting problems. You develop a very keen logical sense outside of your job in every day life. The drawback I found in engineering is that it can be volatile depending on the industry your in and that could lead to a lot of job switches sometimes and which can be difficult when you are rooted down. All in all, I still love engineering. Gives me a rewarding feeling when I solve a complex problem.
Studying engineering has changed my mindset so much. I'm very proud of my critical thinking and it has served me well, but I get to feel like an outcast sometimes.

Hey Steve, hmm what I usually do is make sure I have a friend in every class. Or if I dont then I try to make a friend in that class at the beginning of the semester incase I need the notes later. It works out because I get +1 friend and maybe notes later:) maybe try that?
A good video. I am a retired civil engineer. I have known since age 12 that I would be an engineer. Engineering work was fun and interesting. From a year as an Army combat engineer to 10 years as a town engineer shared between 12 small towns I gained a wide breadth of experience. In the 1990s, I gave back to my old university by mentoring senior design projects in bridge design. As I've listened to you, I think that you were logical to begin with. Engineering just brought it out. Enjoy your career. Good Luck, Rick
honestly, after you get past all the math classes (and maybe some engineering classes) there isn't THAT much math. Some parts of engineering have more math than others so you can definitely find a stream of engineering without math. If you're interested, I made a video about this on my channel: th-cam.com/video/k9gI6g4CTOI/w-d-xo.html
Yo, the argument about passing notes between each other is some real bullshit sometimes. There are people that only want to get from you but don't give anything in return ever. If you refuse to give them notes, you are said to be "bad colleague" when in real life you just simply value your work too much to feed the parasite in your class for their pleasure of being lazy.
Honestly, there was this one guy in my class that skipped every lecture and asked me for notes. I gave them to him because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. But then he continued to not attend school and asked me for my notes again and I said no. I agree with you in that sense, I value my work so much and I’m not just going to hand it over for free
Ok first of yall I want to thank you for having an amazing personality. Second of all you were very positive and really helped me to lean into engineering as I have been studying programming off and on for a couple of years but always thought being put in that box would suck my soul out. But hearing someone like you who has a personality and seems to be able to have fun makes me feel like maybe it won't be so bad.
I love your channel so much. To be honest, I'm studying at the top Engineering university in VN and I'm struggling with the program so much. But once I have found my favorite part (which is Solidworks), I love my life and my program again. Thanks so much for changing my life. My major is also Mechanical Engineering and all of your contents are basically what I have now.

Somebody once told me "Engineers don't discover new science as much as they use the existing one", that may be true, doesn't make it any less fascinating to me
You suppressed your emotions when you realized you had a task at hand with a deadline. You didn’t have time for emotions. You mind has become analytical, thanks to your work which is why you credit these things to engineering. They’re good qualities to have. 👍
"Usage: Education, properly a drawing forth, implies not so much the communication of knowledge as the discipline of the intellect, the establishment of the principles, and the regulation of the heart." You must discipline your thinking to work through the problem. You must use the principles to solve the problem. You must control your emotions to solve the problem. And you must develops "cognitive endurance" or the ability to work for significant periods on solving the problem.
I'm starting my bachelors degree in engineering next fall and I've been skeptical about my decision, part of it its because engineering sounds hard and scary, but your video has motivated me to have a more positive view on it!! I think there's a lot I can gain from it
Big fan here, I love your channel and probably seen every video lol. I'm a mechanical engineering B.Sc holder applying to ETH this year. keep the videos coming! :)
omgogomgomgomg Royal Ihuaenyi thank you so much! Thanks for all of your support:) Def apply to ETH and let me know if you have any questions about the school! I'll be starting my PhD here also.
Awesome! Thank you. I'll be submitting my application in a week. Yes, I have a few question and kinda need someone to review my application. I could email you to get a review if you don't mind of course. Good luck and congrats on the PhD position!
ya for sure! Email me your questions and when is your application due? Because this week is pretty packed for me but I should have time to do a quick review:) stemininevlog@gmail.com
Navy veteran and currently in graduate school for electrical engineering. I like engineering because I've always enjoyed taking things apart to see how they work. I also like using science, math and critical thinking to make useful stuff.
that is so true about the jealousy. I, and a lot of people I study with, wouldn't blink twoce when someone asked them to share notes. Like.. We all know how hard it is, so we gotta stick together
Narcissist yes lol, luv solving problems, luv learning. Funny vid but many engineers are emotional decision makers, as are most people. Cool thing about engineering is that it offers many career trajectories once you start work ... technical, mngt, business, sales, marketing, finance, projects, manufacturing, operations, maintenance, reliability, education, medical, legal, etc.
Hi Jess, i just want to let you know how much i appreciate your videos as a girl in stem. You have encouraged me to keep going, and i dont know if it sounds creepy but I've seen you as a friend that understands. I'm one of two the girls total in my class, so it gets very lonely sometimes. Thank you Jess
I'm a girl and study mechanical engineering in germany, next week exams are coming up and I'm losing my mind ! This gave me the boost I needed. Thanks :)
I hated engineering at first not only was I not good at any topic but I did not actually enjoy it. I did it because my teacher told me to. I mean I am where do I start I was bad at maths, drawing, physics, you make it But when I sat down and actually look at the topic and break it down I actually like it . Although there’s something that I am not good at . I am drawn to it. I am still not good at practice and physics yet
hahahah I love that you have violins in the background! For me it's EDM that plays in my head while I solve complex problems. But that's probably because I listen to electronic music when I work:)
I'm going into biomedical engineering and going to be a freshman in college this fall, and I love your videos, and I am actually more excited to go into engineering because of your videos. :)
I can totally relate to your attempt to hike in the wrong boots! I've foolishly taken on challenges before with the "Trust me, I'm an Engineer" mindset 😅 Loved the video! Keep em coming!!
"To be fair, I almost died" 😂 That was awesome and so is engineering! Great video... much love, one engineer to another. I'm a Biomed EE. I haven't done any kayaking or climbing of glaciers, but maybe one day. I think you still have to have that adventurous side to be able to use that engineering problem-solving side :)
Not only Engineering, i think every field is versetile specially Business. If we talk about Marketing (I'm future Marketing major), there's so many things.. Traditional marketing, Tv ads & commercials, branding, brand management, graphic design, ux/ui design, web design & development, brand innovation, marketing automation, e-commerce, display design, web analytics, SEO, SEM, Strategy, web traffic etc etc so many things!
Come to Wright Patterson Air Force Base and work on Flying Wings, New types of Tilt-Rotors, Stealth, Laser Defense Systems...….and you are right......Engineers are very cooperative but you got to pull your weight. Engineers are not slackers. We are very curious and we are not happy until we solve the problem. Also the pay is great !
Yo im a 15 year old girl in New Zealand and next year im doing a part time course with my school that allows us once a week to go study a course of our choice and I chose m Engineering. I know nothing about pysicics and I am realy really bad at maths, im not very strong or tall and overall not the kind of person who would be good at this but for some reason I really really wanna do it even though everyone around me is telling me its a bad idea and its not for me. I like your videos and they make me feel more secure doing it :)
After about 10 years working as an electrical engineer, I have became so burnt-out and tired of dealing with arrogant overconfident assholes, and playing the stupid office games, being put under tremendous time pressure, and getting broken crap dumped on me (all the time) that I gave up electrical engineering. It wasn't that the work was too difficult, it was the people who made my career miserable. My electrical engineering experience has been extremely competitive. Coworkers would literally waste hours of your time if it could save themselves 5 minutes. I never figured out how to crack the "people problem". I considered it to be a lost cause after 10 years and moved on.
Ahhhh Jess I'm so sorry to hear that. What do you do now? Do you like it better? I agree, you can like your topic/work all you want but if the people that surround you 7h+ a day suck then working is gonna suck too. Did you consider working as an electrical engineer in another comany or even industry?
I started out as a systems engineer doing a lot of matlab modeling for communication systems. Then I got into test engineering and hardware testing. With each job, I was kind of a victim of my own success. The harder I worked, the more others (coworkers and bosses) would apply pressure (less time, more difficult problems, etc) to see how much performance they could squeeze out. I got tired of being taken advantage of and decided I didn't need to put up with this crap anymore. I basically felt like I was a janitor, cleaning up other people's messes all the time. Work stress was really starting to negatively effect my health and family life. I pushed myself so hard, I began to experience adreinal fatigue, and my immune system was compromised. I was getting sick and felt exhausted all the time. I'm still trying to decide what career path I want to go down next. I can guarantee you, it will not be engineering.
Wow, I'm so sorry you had such a negative experience in the field. It takes a few assholes to ruin a party, eh? But you can find people like this in every field, no? Do you have strategy to avaoid these people in the future?
I’m honestly so grateful to your videos. I’ve been debating on whether to take on the medical route or engineering. I’m still deciding but your passion for engineering also rekindle the interest I had for it. I just hope I can make the right decision. I’m open for any advice.
Flip a coin and see how you feel when the answer is shown. Are you disappointed or relieved? That always helped me clarify how I REALLY felt about something when deciding between two things. Definitely go with the option that excites you most / feels more right.
Thank you for making this video! I can tell that you are *very* intelligent. Thanks to you, I feel encouraged to study engineering because it is nice to see other females studying it, I love Maths and my dad is a mechanical engineer and my granddad was a engineer during World War Two too. The reason why I want to study engineering is because you get to learn about other interesting things such as thermodynamics; I also used to love chemistry but never studied it at A Level. Please can you make a video about how to choose which field of engineering to go into if you haven't already? I thought you did but I can't find it haha. Love your videos! Might show some of them to my dad. My dad really likes Maths xx I am from the UK by the way :)
That's a great idea adrienne! I'll write it down:) and thanks so so much for watching my videos!! And I'm really happy to hear that I'm helping someone by exposing my life as an engineer
I did not know what i wanted to do with my life and after watching a vew of your video's you are the reason that i know what i finally know and want to do with my life. Thank you so much :)
You are amazing, totally get everything you are about, WIE are the best 😇!!! Engineering brings us confidence, skepticism, and humility because like said, there is always someone smarter on the room you can learn from. I think everyone should just get an engineering degree and then if they want to do something else like business or psychology, get a graduate degree. I ABSOLUTELY believe it should be a requirement of our politicians, we need educated problem solvers to lead the world. I would love to see you as the next President!!!
Thank you for this video it really made me happy , and now I want to be better in my engineering career . As you said I actually found intrest in my work and I really like it , the best thing also is I get to stick to my favourite subject of all time and that is phyisc .

The councilor said “ it’ll make you look extra impressive”... did I mention I already have a AP ?!? I meet the honors requirements and i don’t even like engineering I haven’t even played with Legos so I’m watching this video in hopes of at least SOME MOTIVATION 🤦🏽♀️.
I find it weird that I don't fight with my wife (we're both engineers) but all our friends do. Sure we have arguments, but they are resolved by just being logical and we move on, everyone makes mistakes. And agree to number 20
Haha ya I see what you’re saying. I personally think though that intelligence isn’t linear and can’t be measured in one manner so I’m not sure if there is one person in the world that is smarter than others. But I still see your POV
After 3yrs in undergrad I'm starting to regret not choosing a major in the engineering field or mathematics. I really love math and although I don't really love physics as much as I do for math it was still manageable for me back in the days. I even casually wake up in the morning and think about math and how different it would have been if I chose the math or an engineering degree. I came to a realization that I was denying my love for math that now I miss solving math problems. I feel like its too late now though, I'm 21 and just need one more year to finish the degree I am pursuing.
I have never even allowed myself to consider Engineering because I thought I was too dumb for it, but your video changed me completely. I am even considering studying it! Thank you so much
Me too! It feels right, although I am not sure which path to choose yet. I am interested in computer programming and I love math. I want to improve on math so during the summer I have been practicing a lot!
thanks so much for watching luke! But isn't it just so true?? I don't remember much of my undergrad but I remember staying up real late in the computer lab with 10 other people trying to figure out an assignment haaha
You just made me realize the way you think about life [because of engineering] is how i've set out to be. Very very interesting. This whole time if i would have chosen to be an engineer i would have been able to deal with all my problems and see the truth behind not taking things personally. Wow everything is just laying out and making sense now. lmao I also am realizing dating is for the birds and i need to go back to school to get an engineering degree so i can meet someone because being with someone that likes to talk out the problem.....YESS PLEASEEEEE haha So glad i found this video!!
When you put your open mind to a new idea and world then your world dream can be active. The shuffling of compute active sensors and programming will give you the cyber program. The old worl is not here anymore but the new world is for ours to grasp and your engineer diploma is there to drive you to the best. Then it's only takes an inch to give the click of your closed mind.
I am a business major and I can definitely agree with point no 12. I've seen people in engineering they are very supportive and friendly to each other. While in business, everyone is little rude, I mean they are always in competition it doesn't matter if you are friend to someone when it comes to classes, exams, projects... no one is friend of you! Everyone is enemy, and yesss they don't share notes! It happened recently I got absent from 2 classes regularly and I've asked my friend to give me notes and seriously he didn't replied after even seeing message, I again asked him and he totally ignores like wtf.
Seriously? Engineering majors being friendly? Well I can agree with "very supportive" because my team class almost do the task at time and even help the one who couldn't do their part and when exams are near we try to share notes, solved exercises and etc. However I see friendship isn't so notorious as support, barely I chat or talk with my class pals it's like we just talk each other in assignments times/exam times/project times but out of the school is kinda rare we meet or even say hi to classmates.
@@coria6231 At least they help you in projects, assignments right? My classmates doesn't :) Everyone is snake here, no one cares if someone dying, if someone is loosing marks they don't give you even a single sheet, if you don't understand a concept or missed the class means YOU MISSED THE CLASS, no one will help you... class CR/TA will totally ignore you and when you rudely asked them to give me your notes.. you are a TA, they will make excuses or sometimes even replies with full ignorance and threatening words. There's no sympathy in business school.
@@nycto16 Dammit bro don't you have a single pal there? Is it so tough to just make a little friend? Here in engineering is also hard to even talk with "unknown" mates bc they see you (sometimes) as a dumb. I've seen mates asking for notes and exercises to entire group and many just leave them and say no word. Believe me, my team class was and still is a miracle
@@coria6231 I have some friends, all have some friends but the toxic side of being in business is when it comes to projects, assignments, exams "no one is your friend". Basically they act with you like a friend whole semester, you will go outside with them, spend time in cafe etc but when it comes to study stuff everyone starts acting strange. As you said, in engineering they see you as a dumb... here in business, they don't see you as a dumb but they see you as a "competitor" everyone wants to go ahead, it doesn't matter if they spent time with you whole semester when it comes to exams everyone just focuses on their own selves.

As an engineering graduate with two degrees (BS/MS), I HATE engineering. Worst decision I made in my life. She failed to mention that not all engineering degrees are equally rewardable nor are they made the same. My engineering degrees are from well accredited universities. However, I picked the worst most useless engineering, Civil Engineering with a MS in Environmental. Unless you have a well-paid internship or job lined up after graduation, don’t study engineering. There are so many engineer job titles that pay $50K or less. I make about $80K now, hate my supervisor and job working for the federal government, find my work incredibly dull and tedious and would not recommend it to my worst enemy. The only comfort I get from having chosen engineering at an accredited state university...is that it only cost me $7.5K in loans. If you hate engineering as a student, you will only hate it more as a professional.
You can invent a touch down semi automation speed control abs Cyber programming in aeronautics and car speed automation. It's very easy and all is about mechanical sensors automation supra servo server. The semi automation servo sever control release need an array of digital input sensors on off to work programming coupling. It takes an little effort to compute the programming but it's not impossible.

Yes of course! Thanks for watching:) and yess haha the code only works at like 2am the day before submission lol
I’m studying engineering. People never gave me any notes though I was sick for two weeks
Hey Steve, hmm what I usually do is make sure I have a friend in every class. Or if I dont then I try to make a friend in that class at the beginning of the semester incase I need the notes later. It works out because I get +1 friend and maybe notes later:) maybe try that?
I thought the same. But maybe this problem concerns only freshmen year haha
STEMinine i do that too it is work
People are friendly with me in engineering!
I’m kinda interested in engineering but I’m really trash at math fr
honestly, after you get past all the math classes (and maybe some engineering classes) there isn't THAT much math. Some parts of engineering have more math than others so you can definitely find a stream of engineering without math. If you're interested, I made a video about this on my channel: th-cam.com/video/k9gI6g4CTOI/w-d-xo.html
that's so right Calla Merkel! I really think if you persevere and don't let it scare you, then you can conquer it!
Patience.
do it :D
Patience, Math is Practice
Give them and see thier marks in the end
i'm in the 1st year of industrial engineering and kind of struggling from times to times, your content helps to stay motivated TY
What year are you?
@@coria6231 i'm a freshman =)))
@@khoitrannguyenminh203 Bro I'm a sophomore :)
I still remember my first year, the first semester was a great struggle especially for linear algebra.
I wish you the best of luck in this semester and in the rest of your career :)
@@coria6231 Thank you very much. Every single day, I always wake up and remind myself about the reason I choose this major as a motivation. I love to pass the first year =)))
Finally I found my soulmate.
I love engineering because I get to meet people like you everyday who remind me that I haven’t done much so far and that I need to work harder!
lol Zhara don't worry, I'll make sure we both work hard at Ansaldo!
I'm starting uni in a few months, and I love that engineering can be versatile, keeps the monotony in life away xD
I would like to study engineering at university
Somebody once told me "Engineers don't discover new science as much as they use the existing one", that may be true, doesn't make it any less fascinating to me
Because of Mechanical engineering I started to like gym more and more since I can visualize what machines and body mechanics work
Oh nice! Ya I only started to go to the gym so I can avoid homework lol
I'm confused whether to choose engineering r not nd after watching ur video it gave me some confidence thankyou!!
You suppressed your emotions when you realized you had a task at hand with a deadline. You didn’t have time for emotions. You mind has become analytical, thanks to your work which is why you credit these things to engineering. They’re good qualities to have. 👍
"Usage: Education, properly a drawing forth, implies not so much the communication of knowledge as the discipline of the intellect, the establishment of the principles, and the regulation of the heart."
You must discipline your thinking to work through the problem. You must use the principles to solve the problem. You must control your emotions to solve the problem. And you must develops "cognitive endurance" or the ability to work for significant periods on solving the problem.
Thank you so much for this! I'm currently in the process of choosing an undergrad degree and this has reassured me that engineering is a good choice.
I'm starting my bachelors degree in engineering next fall and I've been skeptical about my decision, part of it its because engineering sounds hard and scary, but your video has motivated me to have a more positive view on it!! I think there's a lot I can gain from it
hey i’m about to start my manufacturing engineering bachelor’s in a few months, how has your degree been doing 2 years later?
I really needed this! Thank you so much, I can now be confident to major in engineering. Thank you again!
This is really cool thank you for making this video. Super helpful to hear about the engineering culture and how versatile a career it is
that is so true about the jealousy. I, and a lot of people I study with, wouldn't blink twoce when someone asked them to share notes. Like.. We all know how hard it is, so we gotta stick together
I'm using this video to encourage my students to get into engineering, in particular to inspire my female A-level students. Great video
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to study engineering, but with this video it helped make my decision. Great video, subscribing and liking !! 🤗😍
Thanks daniela! I’m glad I was able to help you make the decision!! Are you finishing high school or entering uni soon?
Omg 😨😵just thank you, now i know I'm not the only one feeling this way I feel myself referred to literally everything you said every little thing
OMG just watched this before going to work and I can totally relate and now I am going to slay my engineering tasks at work!
Hahahahah!
She was like: I love engineering because I don't love it :)
Why would I got to school for this if I can just watch redstone tutorials
Because how else will the universities make money to pay Football scholars?
Engineering makes me feel Epic having a cape on with violins playing in the back, Especially if I solve complex problems.
hahahah I love that you have violins in the background! For me it's EDM that plays in my head while I solve complex problems. But that's probably because I listen to electronic music when I work:)
Okay, I'm sold.
I'm going into biomedical engineering and going to be a freshman in college this fall, and I love your videos, and I am actually more excited to go into engineering because of your videos. :)
Aw thanks alexandra! thanks for watching im glad you like it:)
I can totally relate to your attempt to hike in the wrong boots! I've foolishly taken on challenges before with the "Trust me, I'm an Engineer" mindset 😅 Loved the video! Keep em coming!!
hahaha ya the "trust me, I'm an engineer" mindset has gotten me into a lot of trouble. but i'm still alive, so maybe we're doing something right??
"To be fair, I almost died" 😂
That was awesome and so is engineering!
Great video... much love, one engineer to another. I'm a Biomed EE. I haven't done any kayaking or climbing of glaciers, but maybe one day. I think you still have to have that adventurous side to be able to use that engineering problem-solving side :)
I'm a Mechanical Engineering student too, from Philippines. 😊
Not only Engineering, i think every field is versetile specially Business. If we talk about Marketing (I'm future Marketing major), there's so many things.. Traditional marketing, Tv ads & commercials, branding, brand management, graphic design, ux/ui design, web design & development, brand innovation, marketing automation,
e-commerce, display design, web analytics, SEO, SEM, Strategy, web traffic etc etc so many things!
WOW, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!! IT IS AWESOME, VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!
Don't let your emotions affect your decisions 👌👏
I totally agreeeeee
Only motivation why i am going for masters is this person, hoping I'll be as good as her someday. And obviously meet someone pretty like her😅😅❤️❤️
I don't agree with jealousy thing, just because you got good company doesn't mean there isn't jealousy in engineering.
Thank you! Your awesome!
My dad really likes Maths xx
I am from the UK by the way :)
That's a great idea adrienne! I'll write it down:) and thanks so so much for watching my videos!! And I'm really happy to hear that I'm helping someone by exposing my life as an engineer
❤❤👌 I'm an Electrical Engineering student in University of Cape Town in South Africa.
I'm being honest I'm madly in love with it😍😍😍😍
That's amazing! I'm so happy to hear that:)
I did not know what i wanted to do with my life and after watching a vew of your video's you are the reason that i know what i finally know and want to do with my life. Thank you so much :)
Wow Shabam TV that’s amazing to hear! I’m so glad my videos are helpful to you:) it gives me a reason to continue making them
Great way of defining Engineering life, thank you .
Stumbled across this video, and I loved it! I’m a girl mechanical engineering major in the United States, definitely can relate to all of these!
I’m so glad to hear that! Thanks for watching. In which school do you study?
University of New Haven
No.3: I'm an engineer too ... but ... I have been trying to solve the problem of _how to travel back in time_ ever since I saw *Back to the Future* in the 80s.
I still haven't figured it out yet. Any help would be appreciated! 😃😁😂
(The schematic for the Flux Capacitor would be nice...)
Im not physist but you need big amount of positive énergie and négative one to balance it and créat big pressure and gravité feild on space time to creat à worm whol that théoriquly we can travel throw space and time the problème is we need source of power like thé Sun and even we can creat something like that we need à programme an AI to keep it in check in every milsec so we dont blow this planet
That comment about enthalpy talk on a date took me out 😂 I'm definitely guilty of that. When a guy asks what I do like idk how to not sound like a nerd lol.
So ...it’s my senior year and I needed a duel ,aka college class to make my transcript impressive. I SIGNED UP FOR DUEL ENGLISH , tell me why they put me in duel engineering to 😭.
I love u
U motivate me to run after my dream
"Youre not the smartest person in the room... unless you are. In which case be modest anyway." I revised the quote
“If you think you’re smart then you’re definitely dumb”
@@RiverTechJess statistically someone has to be im just stating a fact here lol
Hey! It's been a year :) How did it turn out? Did you graduate and then go back for another field?
I have never even allowed myself to consider Engineering because I thought I was too dumb for it, but your video changed me completely. I am even considering studying it! Thank you so much
no you're not too dumb! You can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!
STEMinine the only thing that I can say is just an honest thank you, I mean it
Me too! It feels right, although I am not sure which path to choose yet. I am interested in computer programming and I love math. I want to improve on math so during the summer I have been practicing a lot!
Thank you P S! It means a lot:)
Nadia have you considered applied mathematics? It’s a blend on computer science and math:)
I am a power engineering student. I love your content and it's refreshing and motivating hearing others suffering and that we are all on a team. Lol
thanks so much for watching luke! But isn't it just so true?? I don't remember much of my undergrad but I remember staying up real late in the computer lab with 10 other people trying to figure out an assignment haaha
STEMinine absolutely!! it's all worth the sacrifice and struggle. Hahah plus the infamous respect of the title engineer helps. 😛
the iron ring helps too!
the baddest thing about being an engineer:
*THOSE DAMN SPIES*
An overall very well made and eloquently spoken video.
you forgot busting your arse for unrealistic schedules and always being stressed out.
I love engineering because I can help humanity by applying science in the real life and solve problems.
Ya same here! I like the idea that I can directly impact society:) thanks for sharing!
What a great topic! My favourite part of engineering is contributing to projects that the next generation will get to work on and improve again 😊
Thank you! That is a great reason and also a good motivator to give 100% in your work:)
Great video and good information. From fall i will start my first year of aerospace engineering college in my country.
Here in South Africa we say an injury to one is an injury to all. We all suffer but what's great we all rise
This is so true hahaha
My classmates doesn't :)
Everyone is snake here, no one cares if someone dying, if someone is loosing marks they don't give you even a single sheet, if you don't understand a concept or missed the class means YOU MISSED THE CLASS, no one will help you... class CR/TA will totally ignore you and when you rudely asked them to give me your notes.. you are a TA, they will make excuses or sometimes even replies with full ignorance and threatening words.
Im a girl in mechanical engineering and back when I studied, I rarely had female classmates. Im convinced if we had met in uni, we would make great buddies! 🙂 Great video! I agree with most of it if not all of your points. Keep these videos comin' !
Hey, I want to go into engineering. Can you tell me how you are supposed to get a job with an engineering degree. Like whats the process like
Also do you think it is hard to get a job in engineering because thats what ive heard
I LOVE HOW YOU TALKED ABOUT ENTROPY HAHA!! I once when on a date and talked about cell fusion and sustainability HAHAH
Thanks very much it cleared up a lot for me ❤
As an engineering graduate with two degrees (BS/MS), I HATE engineering.
Fun video. I did not wind up going into engineering but I am rethinking my possibilities. I needed this like 4 years ago. I had to do my own research and get excited about engineering. Congratulations on your hard work. Is it really true that certain people have an aptitude towards engineering? Good luck on being a youtube.
This is helping me write my personal statement thank you lol
Haha same😂
