The calmness of the first song, the piano, the girl's quicknotes, along with the picture of the girl and the black and whiteness of the picture with the structure in the background brings nostalgia for some reason. The type of nostalgia you can't explain.

You nailed it! The musical + visual elements here can easily build a nostalgic vibe, you can point it out through the comment section. It seems that the art was made in 2011, and this musical style resembles mid 90's and early 00's. Well, it's surely nostalgic :)

I think the best part about relaxing breakcore is that the beat is usually so light. like the snares for example. they feel so light like a feather. Breakcore makes me feel like I could float at any moment. Truly a beautiful, pure genre of music that is misunderstood as dark and depressing.
edit: since.. someone thought it was a good idea to somewhat insult me in a video over this comment I made; I guess I'll have to clear some things up.
so first: I'm *completely* referring to relaxing breakcore in this comment. I also love the heavy sides of breakcore, and listen to quite a few artists that make emotion intensive songs that aren't meant to be taken lightly. jvnko is one of many.
second: I do agree with the fact that really *any* music is up to interpretation, so just incase you thought I was saying otherwise- here I am.
Thank you all for your civil and kind comments, it's really nice to see such a positive and not chaotic comment section.. however, there's always a bad apple- but that's okay.
Thank you once again, and I hope you all have a blessed day.

dark and depressing, or also a mess of loud drums and noise. It's just not for everyone. I enjoy thoroughly, but you can see how Sewerslvt's Tortvred Lesbians Ripped Appart does not appeal to masses, or appeal at first glance, but i've personally found a liking to breakcore, even through my own production, i find myself really hitting the spot with frustration and confusion and the ways of life, being expressed almost perfectly through breakcore.

This essentially is drum and bass... but without the bass. I know that Forza Horizon games have the "drum n bass" radio station that almost only plays breakcore music.
Both genres came from Jungle music in very late 1980 to early 1990. Breakcore sounds much closer to Jungle because of the very soft drums and general lack of low pitch sounds.
You can usually tell the 2 apart just by how hard the drums hit. DnB also often has a different drum pattern, but that can vary. These days however, DnB is heading into the breakcore/jungle direction, and more tracks begin sounding like the ones in this mix.
I will link you this DnB track and I think you will hear the difference right away.

This mix; th-cam.com/video/oSjvK-TO-yY/w-d-xo.html , is one of my favorites specifically. It's what really got me into the genre. I'm glad that so many people share the same interest as me, and I hope that in the future, we will have more people releasing the same sounds from the 90's/00's. Forza's "Hospital" radio station is actually the only one I will listen to because it's so nice while driving.

@@qxxanael you're right tho, drumfunk, liquid, Darkstep, and technoid all fall under dnb anyways, so it ain't wrong to call them all dnb, except jungle tho, you can't really mistake dnb and jungle, if you're an active listener anyways
if you're just getting into this type of music, that's fine, no one really cares usually, as long as you're not spewing out misinformation anyways
that's usually where I see arguments happen, granted, not in every case, like this one seems like an honest mistake to begin with, tho it still kinda causes a snowball effect

Some examples would be racing games (Need for Speed, Midnight Club, Forza, etc.), Metal Gear Solid 2 had some similar music (Yell Dead Cell) and other games around that time too.

This sure is whole new genre of music to me, I dont find it relaxing or to sleep, but the music is fine, good to have some music without vocals while working on something, also it gives older edm vibes. nice to find this

2022 will be the year that breakcore finally hits beneath the surface of the mainstream. Most of this is actually liquid/atmospheric D&B, btw.

I found this playlist at a dark time in my life, and it's significantly helped me ever since. Fleeting Frozen Heart easily became my favorite song ever since I found this playlist, and I always come back to it somehow.
    Please never delete this. 🌺🌺

These kinds of songs make me relive days of fast-paced Touhou soundtracks, even though I've never played the game itself.
