Heading into Amsterdam one night back in 1999, this track opened up in a tunnel as the yellow lights struck our front seat. That´s when we knew this was going to be a great and unforgettable 7 days of music. Autechre, thank you!
I know I have started late , but over the last two years I have started dabbling in Urban Art or Graffiti. Recently I decided after throwing up many pieces and working with styles . That lol I have been inspired & decided to settle on Eutow . So far I have done a small combination throw and a full Eutow slap , both in Chrome black & white. I hope to soon do another full colour Eutow slap with Streetlights , sunset & city shadows. But before that i'm gonna go Gold , black & white glow.
@akrotirifry9 yeah its just that nothing comes close to it. its just out there in another world and this track emits this "alienated but beautiful" vibe perfectly.
That's a fucking brilliant video.. What I see in my mind's eye when I listen to techno.. especially the colours of the sky you've captured so perfectly
@mutedisease Hmm. To me, it evokes more of a "working around the clock to get back home" vibe than a "years of solitary" vibe. There's something about the beat that makes me think of productivity.
My No1 fave Autechre track. I dont realy bother with anything after Tri Repetae . I tried but i'd just end up in an istitution listening to that . Flickr : DJ Puff puff puff the third. Stud , Eutow , Gnit & the Egg. Cavity job , Accelera , The Egg and Crystel all ok .
This is my favourite Autechre track full stop ♥. Lol , was so good I decided to settle on Eutow as my graffiti tag , after trialing many different words. Most Graffiti writers listen to Dub Step , Grime , RNB and Rap.
@dankcro: Yeah. Technically, the album was released 2 months after Windows 95. (I just looked it up) but took a year to make, so the song was definitely cut before the OS came out.
Mike Hawk Because of an older video of him I found out about "Expo2000" by "Kraftwerk". I really would like to know who searches for these tracks to play 'em live in a Breakdance battle contest. Would be cool to purchase somehow these VAs.
This is a legendary 90's track, but go hunt down some of Gary Newmans obscure B side tracks from the 80's.. you're eyebrows will most definately be raised in suprise!
@locustskater I think I had it in mind already at the time, or the whole album rather, but I didn't shoot it as a definite video for the track. I only decided it later on I think. I made lots of time lapse videos back then and this wasn't more than another time lapse experiment before I started editing, but then I quickly settled with the track.
all the people shown in this video have probably reached their destination of where they were headed. i mean this was years ago either they died before they could get there or just made it to where they needed to go everyone in this video had a destiantion
yeah I made this, and no, this is Germany - somewhat similar to the Netherlands though. But I wouldn't know how anyone would recognize any country from the footage ;) And Lexx is great, all my childhood erotic fantasies combined ;)
You have a scene where a bus stops. i've seen it was a german bus. Not sure but i almost tend to think it was made in Berlin. Some spots were so familiar to my eyes. I know i'm most likely wrong but anyways. Where in good ol Germany was it made?
Some songs will always give me a chill down my spine when I listen to them because of the time period in which I first experienced it.. This.. is one of them.
This is the by far best Autechre fan video I've seen. Not a whole lot of synaesthetic/synchronous stuff going on but you do a great job of translating the textures and especially the mood. Nice work.
I think they had something like a little break in their quality with work like LP5, EP7, ... but their latest releases like draft 7.30 and Untilted are masterpieces I think
im pretty sure now, that tri repetae has to be the best (actually my favorite) electronica album I've ever put my ears on. the whole jazzy mechanical beauty this album creates is unbelievable.
I can't get over how amazing this video is, it truly changed my life and opened up a perspective on life that I always felt was with me but could never attain,
Me to! Before I saw this video I was an unemployed depressed, morbidly obese substance abuser lazing around in a cockroach infested slum bedsit, covered in my own vomit. Now, just six months after seeing this video. I am a multi-millionaire businessman with a lifestyle that most men could only dream of.
this video would seriously need more cuts to match better to the rythm, but I must say that I like it very much, one of the too rarest good edit job on youtube!
xdux - completely agree. Incunabula was revolutionary for me. Amber was fantastic. But don't understand what happened after that ... it all descended into noise. frustrating thing is each new Autechre album seems to have 1 track in the same vein that shows they still know how to produce the GOOD stuff :(
There is something strange about the dull blue transition of night into day. Soon there will be a flooding of new human beings, hopelessly reborn by the light. Cars will occupy the highway, traveling at light speed. When you wake, it's time to be up, and your sacrifice begins now. Smoke billows from a nearby factory. It feels like an America of the Past is vaguely underneath the America of the Now. You join the stampede of cars, listening to your favorite podcast. You'd hazily dreamt of this commute before waking up, but by now the memory is lost, and it feels like the dream was never there. The motions are repeated, and the day feels normal. After walking into the break room, you smell something that teleports you to your childhood. A flashing moment of sobering anxiety spills out of you. The warm mulch and playful screams of a second-grade field trip start materializing, and there's no turning back. Immediately you remember conversations and broken promises and triple dog dares you'd long forgotten. You remember the hot sensation of getting hit in the face with a kickball and the complete exaltation of winning a foot race. Life could never stop; the green grass still cushioned your falls, and the hills still taught you how to roll, and Christmas, hot cocoa, and pajama pants all meant something: the now is perfect and tomorrow will be even better. Snapping out of your unproductive daze, you look at your current surroundings. Printing noises, typing noises, stiff collars, tight belts. "Hey, morning bud!" the nearby call of a coworker shocks you into an automated, cordial response. The same interaction from the day before. Everything's felt the same lately, for who knows how long. The day is the same, the people are the same, and that wishful tomorrow never seemed to have come. Suddenly you need to leave. Otherwise, there is no agency, and we are already dead.
i love this track. i always love driving through tunnels or over bridges at night with it on the stereo. this video does it great justice in that respect.
like the title says, it's the track "Eutow" by Autechre. The album is called Tri Repetae, and the musical style could be called IDM, a kind of experimental electronic music
i wish autechre stayed good like on this dbl cd ( of 3 albums ) i miss that sound, and the amber sound. and of course incunabula. those were amazing, they totally blew it after 1997. imho.
MTV only played those videos, because they got them for free, and they didn’t own any content themselves. Their plan was always to transition once they had enough money to create content...
It's been said, but seriously: This is such a spot on video. Better than many professionals achieve.
Heading into Amsterdam one night back in 1999, this track opened up in a tunnel as the yellow lights struck our front seat. That´s when we knew this was going to be a great and unforgettable 7 days of music. Autechre, thank you!
eutow is such a awesome great track ...one of the greatest tracks ever made ...omg
David Elsewhere got me here!
I've opened a DJ set with this tune about 10,000 times... nah seriously...
That bass sounds magic on a big soundsystem
that shot of the contrails behind the lightposts is sick
sehr gut. Danke
Wonderful
Fantastic video; so bizarrely fitting.

Fab! Reminds me of the driving scene in Solaris. Good use of the track, the way the light streams slide with the synths.
you've just created moving art ..........brill
excellent song (my favorite autechre), excellent video...
much respect.. god save au-tech-re
GreatVideoMan!
That's a fucking brilliant video.. What I see in my mind's eye when I listen to techno.. especially the colours of the sky you've captured so perfectly
Kinda cool. Sort of what I've envisioned when I heard this song (fast moving vehicles, tho a more futuristic vision).
Great video!
fucking awesome, one of my favorite Autchre songs and i loveeee the way it is filmed. fantastic!!
Schade, dass es solche vids wie die deine nicht als Livestream ausm Netz gibt. Ich wuerde sie mir mim Projektor den ganzen Tag lang in die Wand werfen
Me gustó burda este video!!!
VERY GOOD!
inspiring! great job dude! Especially liked the last bokeh part.

Watched this whilst listening to Burial - Moth. Allmost started crying...
@Intelectual95 great comment, would read again.
This is a legendary 90's track, but go hunt down some of Gary Newmans obscure B side tracks from the 80's.. you're eyebrows will most definately be raised in suprise!
good
F*CKING AMAZING!
Nice video!
I don't like low saw on reverb but who cares ;)
@thesuburbanelectric mid 90's?

thumbs up if u came here because of "best breakdance ever"
u dont need decent, if they're large they create more sound.
@GaryTheSexOffender: Around the same time, at least. It's still way ahead of its time.
wow!! i love this track!! killer vid as well tho slightly repetitive..
lol@eldurone!
If you want something really freaky, try ZHEIMEER, available on youtube! Have fun!
yeah I made this, and no, this is Germany - somewhat similar to the Netherlands though. But I wouldn't know how anyone would recognize any country from the footage ;) And Lexx is great, all my childhood erotic fantasies combined ;)

austria rulez!
This song was made before Windows 95.
Just think about that for a while.
So much stuff made after windows 95..think about that lol
Indeed 😁😁
It's almost as if synthesizers and drum machines were invented in the 1960's-80's.
It’s not a big deal?
@@soylentgreen6727 it was decades ahead of its time. No other music from the mid-nineties sounds this advanced.
Some songs will always give me a chill down my spine when I listen to them because of the time period in which I first experienced it.. This.. is one of them.
14 years later and this is still my favorite music video ever
I agree! It reminds me so much on all the nights I was out in the club and drove back in the morning…
When the deep chords come in... Always gives me chills
Listened to Autechre for years, can't listen to this tune without this video. Made for each other. The combo of the two is incredible.
Perhaps the best fan-video I've ever seen & felt.
Yes. This.
Dunno man. That one for everything you do is a balloon
This is the by far best Autechre fan video I've seen. Not a whole lot of synaesthetic/synchronous stuff going on but you do a great job of translating the textures and especially the mood. Nice work.
Couldn't agree more.
@@MatthewJohnHayden same here
You should check out a video someone made for LCC
I think they had something like a little break in their quality with work like LP5, EP7, ... but their latest releases like draft 7.30 and Untilted are masterpieces I think
Fuck me 15 years ago.....was a young man then....still sounds so good.
im pretty sure now, that tri repetae has to be the best (actually my favorite) electronica album I've ever put my ears on. the whole jazzy mechanical beauty this album creates is unbelievable.
Massive speakers needed for this track
powerful ones 1000w 14 ohms its electronica its layed

SMELLTHEBULL hell yeah dude, keep living the dream.
SMELLTHEBULL I too am a multimillionaire businessman, what a coincidence!!!!!!!!!
Happy (belated) 15th birthday to one of the coolest videos on TH-cam.
this video would seriously need more cuts to match better to the rythm, but I must say that I like it very much, one of the too rarest good edit job on youtube!
I really like the part that starts at 2:57
I'm still looking forward to their 2008 release Quaristice, I like their old work as well as the abstract later releases.
xdux - completely agree. Incunabula was revolutionary for me. Amber was fantastic. They evolved, you didn't.
Добавлю русский коммент: охуительно😊

Gary Numan and New Order got me going with electronic music when I was about 8. It just sounded so interesting, really.
Also try Vaetxh, Ochre and Yimino. Thank me later :)
This song even sounds way harder slowed down!
Fantástico, con un toque de abstracción que evita que te canses de oirlo.
Thanks so much for discover me this song.
Best wishes from SPAIN!!!!.
I've only noticed it now, but at 2:42 a truck/bus/whatever comes driving by exactly at the same time of the clap.
genius of sound !
perfect and atmospheric...what kind of music is it?
some say, tehre's nothing in electronic music, just monotonity...no feelings....no meaning....great music, great vid...thx
Call me weirdo but I like to play this record sometimer while my yoga sessions.
I personally think this song is beautiful.
like the title says, it's the track "Eutow" by Autechre. The album is called Tri Repetae, and the musical style could be called IDM, a kind of experimental electronic music
This track was my introduction to Autechre, I remember comparing it to Jarre.
Easily the best song by Autechre - Hoping to see them in Manchester next February
i wish autechre stayed good like on this dbl cd ( of 3 albums ) i miss that sound, and the amber sound.
and of course incunabula. those were amazing, they totally blew it after 1997. imho.
this is so good
MTV doesn't even play music anymore, such is their lameness, but I agree with your statement still :)
MTV only played those videos, because they got them for free, and they didn’t own any content themselves. Their plan was always to transition once they had enough money to create content...
geil, ich brauch die songnamen die du in all deinen vids benutzt hast. ALLE! :D ich steh auf solche chillmukke ;)
Very meloncholy and sad tbh. 😢
