Hi Merete, Nice vlog. I came across your channel. I was there in Feb 24 and went on the Ramayana trail (pleasure & pilgrimage), organized everything myself. Colombo - Negombo - Chilaw - Anuradhapura - Trincomalee - Sigriya/Dambulla - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya - Thissamaharama - Galle and Back to Colombo. I fell in love with the country and maybe retire there. I will visit again but travel slowly this time and hopefully stay at your hotel. My only issue was the taxis between cities which were quite expensive. PS I'm British Indian based in the UK. Been traveling to Sri Lanka in summer time on west cost and you have to specified that it does not rain all Day every day so it’s very enjoyable to travel also in the west , please be wise adviser and research yourself too !
Thank you for commenting. I believe I did explain that, and that is why the recommended tour starts in the south. However for people that have at least 14 days in Sri Lanka during July/August/September -- I always recommend also visiting the East Coast as part of their travel. Some people prefer to visit only south, and can have a wonderful experience here, any season 🌴☀️ Most of my videos are about the south (Hikkaduwa where I live) - yet this video is special for recommendations about the summer months. Anyway, thank you for the feedback - and I will try to be more clear about this in the next video about East/West travel 😊 🙏
Hello, I have a trip to Sri Lanka from June 16th to June 30th. I have seen in the weather forecasts that it is expected to rain every day, and I am a bit worried. Does this mean there will be precipitation throughout the entire day, or will it only rain at specific times, allowing for enjoyable weather during the other hours? Thank you very much!

I would say Trincomalee. During summer it is nice to swim there, and there are more activities and more lively 😊 PS: Snorkling/ Diving on pigeon island is great 👍🐠🐟
From now expensive visa fees and 3rd party processing your visa application it's not safest thing to do so and you have to fill and upload lot of documents so think before you traveling to Sri Lanka as a tourist it's 101$ (usa) for each person including children under 12
