I really hope and pray that you are doing well. I constantly check to see if you have posted an update on your health and send a prayer to you each day. I want u to know that even when you are alone and having these tests or feeling defeated please know that I think of you and pray for you and I know many others are all doing the same from your comments. Happy holidays in advance. Much love from the UK. H x
You are very brave for speaking out. Also just want to add that it is a good thing that you buy the cheaper synthetic hair as oppose to natural. Don't feel bad about not being able for afford real hair. The reason is, I heard poor women in Eastern Europe and Asia sell their hair to feed their families. It exploit poor women and I know this because my mom has a hair loss issue due to a genetic condition. She stop buying natural hair wigs after learning about it from a company who admitted that their wigs are not ethical at all.
I say this every time I watch one of your videos, Romee. But you are SO strong and SO inspiring. Whenever I’m having a shitty day with my health (I have bipolar disorder) I always think to myself- be positive and patient like Romee, things will get better 💗 sending so much love from the UK
I told you before my daughter had the same kind of cancer 19 years ago. She was 24 at the time, one year into her marriage. She is a nurse so she had a little more insight, but still didn’t get it checked out right away. She had started losing weight, had nausea a few times and then when she was short of breath, she had some tests done. I went to a lot of appointments with her. When the doctor showed her husband and I the x-ray of her chest, I couldn’t believe the size of the tumor. Long story short, after six months of weekly chemo, she was cancer free and still is. Sending positive vibes and love to you all the way from Arizona.
Keep the scar as moisturised as possible, when I'm trying to fade a scar I mix Bio Oil and some type of skin cream, because I don't like the feeling of just oil and I think it lasts longer. Good luck and stay strong!
@@SibutramineT Allthough I never use special brand products and for sure no expensive product I use Nutrix by Lancome for my scars (and then the white tube, not the luxury cream, the base). For me that was a fluke. Someone gave me a tube because she didn’t like it and than I noticed my scars went kind of away. So when I had surgery I simply tried it again and my scar is almost not noticeable, while I have a connective tissue disorder so I make scars easily. I thought about what you wrote about waiting till after chemo, but I can’t understand why shouldn’t you use a cream or a oil from the perfumery? You are also allowed to take some cream af your face I think? Can you please explain it?
@@SibutramineT but, just a question, not to be rude, aren’t you allowed to take the bio oil or Nutrix cream as a daycream as well or isn’t it a good idea to use it at scars?
I’m very glad I found your channel. I love your personality and I hope you can find some light during this dark time by sharing your story. You are amazing 😀
I'm 66 and came across your video randomly. You are 1 amazing young woman. I am not very easily impressed, but you made such an impression on me from the very first time I saw you. I don't know if it will help but I had a pacemaker put in 5 years ago. Of all things I had issues getting 6 staples removed from an incision a little less then 2 inches long. Ended up taking 3 people. Made a really jagged, nasty looking scar. My home health nurse told me to put any type of cream on it and to gentle massage it several times a day. After a year it it was completely flat and only slightly discolored in a spot or two. Most people don't even notice it now. I hope that might help. Take care, from Debi in Michigan, USA.
Do not feel bad about your scar , think about it as a battle scar , a battle that you will win . You are a great person and I wish you so much love and best wishes
I literally watch every single one of your videos and I’m so thankful you have invited everyone to come along your journey! Your attitude on everything is so amazing. It’s inspiring to everyone!! Still praying for you!😘
Sweet girl, I know that I'm late to the party here, but as a fellow "Spoonie" (someone with a chronic illness) it took me many many years before I was able to see some pride in my surgical scars - we refer to them as my "battle stripes". I know that it can be hard and awkward when people stare, and it's difficult to hold your head up and try to see above their mean words and looks, but your scars and your hair loss are part of your armour. My health conditions are different to yours, but when dressed, people also don't realise that I'm sick, which is both a blessing and a curse. I have a feeding tube, ostomy bag and PICC line, and amongst a few others, a large scar from an incision from where my bra would sit to just below my bikini line. Keep reminding yourself that these are the things that are signs of the battles that you have won! You are so strong, Romee.
I have never heard of people swearing with the word cancer. I am an ICU nurse in the united states and that has never come up. Your a beautiful young lady. Seeing you happy and healthy in my mind. I also have a chronic condition. That's great that you dream positive happy dreams..your English is perfect. Seems common in the Netherlands. I lost a friend at 20 from brain cancer. She went and saw so many doctors who said it was stress. Her dad finally took her in and said he will not take her home until they find out what's wrong. Obviously too late. I think because she was a woman and young they blew her off. Sending love
As a cosplayer and someone that has been playing with wigs for ages now, you can find really really nice ones for less than a 100€-200€ and I mean, lace front wigs with a really good quality. Maybe they are not meant to be worn daily, since sometimes they can get a little bit tangly, but oh boy, being able to change the style and color from time to time is something that I really enjoy. Sending a lot of good vibes from Barcelona

one of my weird side effects is when my fingers or toes are cold it feels like I am Elsa with ice coming out of them or how it feels like when your hand falls asleep times 100. when I drink cold drinks it feels like I am swallowing ice.
I've lost a lot of hair the last few months (autoimmune disease not cancer). Last week I went and had my hair cut off. It wasn't easy. I've been playing around with scarves this week and some look really cute. You can Google different ways to tie them and you can find them in all color and designs. I hope this gives you some ideas! Stay strong beautiful girl!!
Nice to see one of your videos again and just here to let you know how braver you are it's not easy to talk and answer all those question and you just when and did it. I hope to see a new video soon and my best wishes to you.
So long as the incision site is red/ pink, you still have control in minimizing scarring! So massage it as much as possible to prevent scar tissue formation, so long as it doesn't hurt. The plastic surgeons I know encourage patients to gently rub it whenever they think about it, ie randomly throughout the day!
You are such an amazing person. I am so glad you posted this video; I was wondering how the new treatment was affecting you, and glad to see you are doing well. You inspire so many people - a true role model of grace, beauty, strength, and stamina. Looking forward to your next video.

Continuing to keep you in my thoughts and prayers my friend. I completely understand what it is like to have scars on the chest area. I have two large ones and a third one will be happening in February. Also, I have a lot of experience with picc lines and ports. I am so glad that I decided on a port years and years ago. I was trained to do my treatments and accessing and deaccessing at home. My port is in my hip because there's no room on my chest and my first port in my left arm clotted and was coming out of my arm. Keep fighting my friend. I am a fighter and very blessed that I survived many very scary health challenges. Take care! Love and hugs from Florida!
About your scar…I had open chest surgery when I was 5 (I’m now 47) so I have a scar right where you do that goes all the way from one side of my chest to the other. I used vitamin E oil and massaged it every day for 2 years and it softened it up quite a bit. As for the pink color. That will fade with time as long as you KEEP IT OUT OF THE SUN. The sun will darken it. (Like a lot) It will always be there but it most definitely can be faded out to not as noticeable. Hugs!!
Sending positive thoughts your way Romee! For your scar, I’m a nursing student in the US and I had several patients using a cream called Mederma and it seemed to really help. Hopefully there’s something like that available near you. Just know you are beautiful inside and out, regardless of a scar on your chest 🥰
Silicone dressings/gel are used by burns survivors, or by people with keloid type scarring. They are brilliant (I am a nurse) but unfortunately they can be a little expensive. Your scar isn’t very noticeable though! I hope that you can manage to enjoy Christmas and have a wonderful and healthy 2021!
10:27 i’m currently in treatment for breast cancer and i bought a 1.200€ natural hair wig.. but for fun i bought 3 wigs from shein that cost 15€ more or less and that are cool too! I use them sometime! Try these if you want cheep ones 😂💪🏼
For your scar- ACCEPT IT! You are BEAUTIFUL with it. It shows a story, a hardship, and strength. Bio-oil has helped me reduce the redness with my scars, but I keep scars because it reminds me what I’ve been through.
I used silicone sheets like Scar Ban on a very raised and red scar and it faded nicely after a few month. I think it was covered by insurance since my surgeon gave me a package, but you can order it online as well. I live in NL as well, so it shouldn't be a problem for you. Though in the end our battle scars will hopefully be all that remains of the hard times. Stay strong and positive and keep your humor. I admire how you deal with your illness and send you warm and healing vibes! //Anna
Hi Romee.your so sweet and a breath of fresh air.your a inspiration. I enjoy and look forward to your videos.God bless and lots of love Marilyn xxx❤️❤️❤️. From Wales in UK.
My brother in law found out he has Colo rectal cancer couple months ago. He's going through chemo right now and has had several surgeries. I know it's miserable. Hope you feel better❤
A tattoo could make something you don't like into something of beauty. Just take time to think about what you would want. I got my first tattoo when my mom passed, it's small and actually her signature. It truly means something to me. Take care, be safe!
I am a cancer survivor and would answer the question would you give it to someone else so you could be healthy just as you did. You have the sweetest spirit a s I'm sending you love and we'll wishes from America. ❤️
I craved Jalapeños and hot food as well! I blamed it on 'feeling something' like fire, not hurting myself in a real way but still hurting somehow. I acted normal and happy and wasn't changing in front of people either. But now I get tired of everyone expecting me to stay 'this positive' like I was in the beginning. Like: "oh okay your operation went more exzessive but well und your hormones are getting better, nice you better be normal than". But no, I can't it takes time and there are still some Therapy-hospitalizations right around the corner. You helped me a lot, somehow you are like a real strong role model, truly amazing and speaking out the truth. You go girl! Beautiful from inside out.
With scar care, most importantly keep it moisturised and protected from the sun. Bio oil is expensive but pretty good. Vitamin E cream or regular moisturiser are other good options
The scar will fade in time, the redness is a sign of it being fairly new, but once it is all replaced with connective tissue it will look white and therefore blend in a lot better. Moisturising it every day can help with the process. But I can't stress this enough: YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL REGARDLESS!!
Would anyone wish to give their illness to someone else?! I really hope people don’t actually think like that, I understand thinking “why me” but not wanting anyone else to suffer! Also you’re amazing, intelligent, beautiful, well spoken, and just so positive it’s incredibly inspiring to see, It pushes me to be more positive which has been hard of late so thank you so much. Keep fighting you got this and remember we’re all behind you sending tons of positive energy!❤️
Dear Romee, Tissue oil will really help for the scar... rub it in well. Also try colloidial silver ointment, great for post-op wounds. Then Arnica pills (homeopathic) help with speeding up healing of scar tissue. Lots of love from South Africa 💫🧡
Part 2 please. Nice to still see you smiling. Bio oil, I used it on my daughters hands which had bad scarring. 3 solid months putting it on for bed and cotton gloves on. Can't see anything now. Take care 🤗 😁
Its a small scar, dont worry, its still fresh so its more visible. I have one on my face from when I was a kid and it faded with years, but I did use some gel for it to heal and fade, try the pharmacy and ask whats the best they have for that, they’ll know.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with your scar - but I totally understand. Recently had surgery on my hand and became fixated on the scar lol. Dermatologist recommended using a silicon gel on it, or covering it with micropore tape, especially within the first few months. Also, sunscreen because scar tissue is sensitive to UV rays. Take care of yourself Romee x
De littekencreme van biodermal heeft met mijn littekens op mijn buik geholpen. Wellicht een tip. Ik wens je een heel mooie 2021 en hoop dat het een veel beter jaar word voor je dan 2020. 😘
Bugger don't you love it when the infusion monitor goes off at the wrong time. I never knew anyone that had chemo that had cravings.I look forward to the 2nd part of your Q&A.
ROMEEEEE. thank you for being bold and letting us in ur life. I’m praying for you and it’s not like “thoughts and prayers...”. I truly believe God uses everything for good. Not comparing AT ALL, but cuz of my own illness I have had infusions (which was rough) so I CAN’T even imagine what you are going thru. God really met me thru all of that and I wouldn’t change anything that’s happened to me cuz Gods used it for good. Praying for you and your journey.
I use ‘staudt’ a dutch scar cream, I use it for a big scar on my back from an operation and it really works. Good luck, hope everything will get better!
Romee, wigs and hair pieces can be a very expensive minefield. There is a group on Facebook called Hairloss Sisters. Everyone on there is experiencing hair loss for one reason, or another. These ladies, of all ages, know all the tricks about comfort, making wigs look more natural and where and where not to buy from. Take a look and ask lots of questions. Although many are in the US, they can point you in the right direction x
I once got laser treatment in my face for a mole and it left a huge scar. So I used Contractubex Gel(I got it in Germany) and now you can barley see the scar. Big hugs to you, you’re an amazing strong woman ❤️
Praying for you to respond well to the next treatment and get back to your healthy life. Don’t despair about the scar . Get a tat there. There are all kinds and sizes to choose from. Love and prayers ♥️🙏
I sometimes wear wigs just to change the way I feel I have had both human hair and synthetic and give me synthetic any day. Human hair wigs just never go back to the style that originally caught your eye. With long synthetic wigs if you put it on a wig stand and style it you can put it some really cool up do's or ponytails. I buy good synthetic wig. Ones like Raquel Wigs and a few other brands and you can get some synthetics that you can set with a low temp curling iron or flat iron. Usually I will glue the front top with wig tape to make the wig feel more secure and where a hat on it if you go our in the rain or wind it keeps it in place.
Wear a scar with honor. Don't worry about looks just be comfortable. You are so pretty young lady. I'm 64 and know you have years of growing and change. You got this .
My daughter who suffers from alopecia and we started with a human hair wig (over $3000) but over time we found that synthetic hair wigs are way easier to maintain and are not affected by humidity. We get her’s from Vogue Wigs in the States for about ($285). She gets one per year. Sending best wishes from Toronto, Canada.
Years ago when I was younger I had a horrendous year long cough and for over a year my doctor tried minor treatments. A chest x-ray was normal. I finally had to go to an emergency room. I was admitted and thankfully within 3 days a pulmonolgist figured out the cause was for the cough was from a common blood pressure medication I had started a year prior. I was upset that it had not been solved earlier and that my prinary care physician back then did not pursue and refer me to a pulmonologist earlier. Needless to say I no longer continued seeing that primary care physician. We know our bodies and minds best don't let any doctor be dismissive. It is best vfc to bring a family member or close friend to help advocate for ourselves, as patients. I was initially concerned that it seemed you were going through this on your own, then realized your cancer was diagnosed during the start of covid. Sending virtual {{hugs}} and prayers.
I’ve never heard of “cancer” being used as a swear word. Do you “feel” like you have cancer? I had cancer once but did not “feel” like I did. It didn’t cause pain or anything and it was surgically removed. Nothing like yours of course. You are very sweet to answer these questions.

You can actually get a scar cover up tattoo, basically they use the same pigments that are in your skin tone to fill in the scar after it’s healed.

//Anna
You’re such a beautiful ray of light. May god bless you and heal you, pretty girl.
Laughing thru this and smiling would help me through time in my life keep smiling ur beautiful inside and out

She is an inspiration to all this video should be shown to cancer patients of all kinds what happens with chemo and how to prepare for it
I hope she gets donations from other people to help with her cancer
Sending you love and light! Stay strong, Romee. Thanks for posting, and thanks for sharing your new website!
Hi i hope and pray things will get better for you soon 💓
I am a cancer survivor and would answer the question would you give it to someone else so you could be healthy just as you did. You have the sweetest spirit a s I'm sending you love and we'll wishes from America. ❤️
Continuing your journey playlist. ❤
You are so pretty and special and strong! Sending you much love!
I really sincerely hope you make a full recovery from this. 💗
With scar care, most importantly keep it moisturised and protected from the sun. Bio oil is expensive but pretty good. Vitamin E cream or regular moisturiser are other good options
Bio oil helps reduce the visibility of the scar x --- it doesn't look bad at all though!! Xx
You are an inspiration to many!! You've got this sweet girl! You've got this!
God Bless!
So happy to see this video! Thank you for sharing ! Sending lots of love and prayers from Washington DC!
Yes !!! Please do a Part 2.
Certainly there are a lot of questions that you still have not answered yet.
Sending you so much love and support from South Africa 💗 ❤ !!
I wish you all the best with everything♡
Would anyone wish to give their illness to someone else?! I really hope people don’t actually think like that, I understand thinking “why me” but not wanting anyone else to suffer! Also you’re amazing, intelligent, beautiful, well spoken, and just so positive it’s incredibly inspiring to see, It pushes me to be more positive which has been hard of late so thank you so much. Keep fighting you got this and remember we’re all behind you sending tons of positive energy!❤️
Dear Romee,
Tissue oil will really help for the scar... rub it in well.
Also try colloidial silver ointment, great for post-op wounds.
Then Arnica pills (homeopathic) help with speeding up healing of scar tissue.
Lots of love from South Africa 💫🧡
I highly recommend bellami hair for wigs! They have human hair wigs for around 300 Australian dollars which I think is around 180 euros
I love you Romee! I wish you all the best ❤️
Prayers and love to you from Australia ❤️🇦🇺
Part 2 please. Nice to still see you smiling. Bio oil, I used it on my daughters hands which had bad scarring. 3 solid months putting it on for bed and cotton gloves on. Can't see anything now. Take care 🤗 😁
Its a small scar, dont worry, its still fresh so its more visible. I have one on my face from when I was a kid and it faded with years, but I did use some gel for it to heal and fade, try the pharmacy and ask whats the best they have for that, they’ll know.
Stay positive and know that you have many supporters pulling for you❣️ 🏍🇺🇸🎒
Hi Romee, how are you doing?
I hope that things are going well.
I want to wish you a
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 ❤
God bless you!
Usually I will glue the front top with wig tape to make the wig feel more secure and where a hat on it if you go our in the rain or wind it keeps it in place.
silicone patches can help with scars. scaraway is one brand i know of and you can find them online for a good price.
Just noticed your phone case, it is beautiful. Blue happens to be my favourite color, any blue. You are a very articulate speaker. Very wise too.
Hi, Romee! I hope you’re having a wonderful day ✨💜✨
The world is waiting for your return x
I’m from the UK and my partner is Dutch, I found it the strangest thing that people use cancer as a swear word in Holland. I had never heard of it before that. Romee is the bravest young woman and she has touched my heart immensely, sending her loads of positive energy always..
Sorry if this is weird but I was scrolling and you have my moms name exactly and I lost her last year to cancer and wow its just like she's saying hi to me right now 😭
@@missm1632 aww this really touched me, I’m sorry u lost your mum. Your message was not weird at all, reminders of our loved ones are everywhere, I lost my dad as well. Feel free to say hi anytime 🥰
Sending love and luck to you Romee!!!!
Aloe helps the scars fade away, try to apply some on it every day and see if it helps after some time. Hope it works for you :)
