I knew David well and I can tell you that he couldn’t swim, he was petrified of that very crossing. So why was he there? Why did the coroner or m.e. say at first there was no water in his lungs, then switched it to yes, there was. He would’ve never taken this ‘shortcut’ to get home. EVER. He wouldn’t have done this. I miss him every day. He would get a kick out of his death being a mystery though! ;) He’d just moved back to New Hope from Athens and was so happy to be there! I saw him the night before he left and cried, said I felt I’d never see him again. Same thing happened with another of his friends, she cried and said she felt she’d never see him again. He was a funny, awesome and amazing human being. Miss you forever David A❤

But nowhere can I find him saying it himself, and it seems to be a speculation.
There's a bit more to the story - there's some suspicious aspects to it. David Anderson's body had facial lacerations which weren't consistent with the "fell into the canal" theory, and 13 years later, another woman (Sarah Majoras) died in the same circumstances, at the same spot. The weird part is that in both cases, the person (David/Sarah) had been on the way home from John & Peter's (local live music spot) to the home they shared *with the same guy* - someone called Adam Baker. He was Sarah's boyfriend and David's roommate.

I've never encountered a band that has the same ratio of released to unreleased tracks as Ween do. With most left-field bands you can hunt about and find some stuff, usually not that great. But with Ween there's as much unreleased as released, and a maybe a quarter or even a half of it is really good. I don't understand why it wasn't polished up and released, I feel like they could have done twice as many albums.
