I know I've probably asked you this before, but am I right in saying brake boosts aren't consistent? I forget a lot of the movement, but sometimes when I try to do a brake boost it doesn't give me any extra speed, it doesn't give me a fast slide.
It's semi-consistent, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. There is a precise timing to follow, you should watch this tutorial about the tricks that are very useful in land speed: th-cam.com/video/epMv6stQSWU/w-d-xo.html

You get the skin by having the VIP status, and you get the status by being good at the game, in general

You have to flop later or sooner, sadly I can't help you more because you have to find the right timing by yourself :/
