These storms, though visually striking, come with a heightened risk of sparking fires. Lightning strikes can initiate wildfires that spread rapidly, putting communities and the environment in jeopardy. As a fire department in Colorado, it is imperative to maintain a constant state of readiness, prioritize fire prevention, and be prepared to swiftly tackle lightning-triggered wildfires to safeguard our communities and natural surroundings.
