Wild Badger Family Habitat!

Badgers have very ‘big’ personalities. These individuals know what they want and they are not afraid to go after it. In fact, they tend to have the confidence, initiative, and motivation to pursue and get what they want. They tend to have an opinion about most things and typically do not shy away from telling you their opinion.
However, these mammals inhabit a variety of biomes and habitats, including grasslands, prairies, meadows, and scrublands. Despite their range, the American badger does prefer to live where there is soft, loose soil because as fossorial animals, those designed for digging, it is the most conducive to digging burrows. Badger dens, known as setts, provide these animals shelter, protection, and a safe place to raise their young. These burrows are typically located in areas with sufficient vegetation cover, which helps conceal the entrances and protect against predators.
