You told in a particular subshell there is a exchange of electron...
And also electron of 1st orbital goes to 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th
Similarly electron of 2nd 3rd and 4th orbital goes to their successive orbitals...
I want to ask "can the electron of 2nd 3rd 4th or 5th orbital go to their preceeding orbitals"????
I mean "can electron of 2nd orbital go to 1st orbital or electron of 3rd orbital can go to 2nd or 1st and so on"???
Please make me understood......
When electron from 1st orbital is going to 2nd orbital, then electron from 2nd orbital is also going in 1st orbital(as they are exchanging their positions)

If p orbital possesses 2 or 5 number of electrons i.e. 1 electron less than half field and 1 electron less than field. Why this p electronic configuration containing elements are not unstable like occur in d(4 or 9) electronic configuration.

Hi, I have a question about electron configuration of Fe2+ ion.
So for the ground state of electron configuration of Fe2+, which one is right (the most stable) - [Ar] 4s13d5 or [Ar]3d6?
3d6 because the ele are 1st eliminated from outer orbitals which is s-orbital!

Can you explain the same for copper
If the configuration is taken to be 4s2 3d9 , then 16 exchanges are possible.( 10 from one type of spin and 6 from another).
If its taken to be 4s1 3d9, then exchanges = 20, 10 from both spins.
