Never understood tillers. I Europe you can get aerial only truck (same length or even longer, possibly, even articulated) and an engine for the price of one American tiller and they would have a smaller footprint combined.
So something I see. Is euro has more trucks at a scene then America. Also tradition is a big part. But tillers can crab walk and drift. Like look up fire tiller drifting and you'll see how a good crew could go anywhere. I dont hate tillers but I dont like them. But I understand there better for tighter areas
According to the Sutphen website, yes, there are options for Hale or Waterous pumps. TDAs typically do not carry much water. Around 250-300 gallons max. This rig was built as a true truck, much more common on the East Coast or in large urban areas.
