Your right, Strength over the back of the horse there is the key, but takes time to build. Another thing i thought i would mention is you may wish to try using wooden or synthetic wasters instead of steel swords. Particularly for some of your disarms where a sword falls amongst your horses legs. Just something i learnt from experience!
Good job Guys! Keep working on your impulsion and collection to try and achieve some Terra Terra and you find that a lot of the sword techniques will become a bit easier as you have an extra second to execute. That is for the techniques that are illustrated using such a gate! Its looking pretty good though!
@LukeDelBinkey Yes Terre à Terre would make it a lot easier. Unfortunately I am having a 5 years old freiberger gelding (he does some jumps on hand, but I am a classical rider and have to educate him step by step). The white mare is my crazy little arabian pony. She does terre à terre but get´s really hot and is very weak in her back. So maybe in some years...;)
@juliathut. we have been looking at using the racing goggle for the horses under shaffrons while we joust. Do you find they do a good job of protecting the eye? Im tending to feel the same about synthetic waster, particularly for this sort of training. But i didnt mind the Purpelheart armouries wooden wasters, they dont move as well as a well made steel sword but do simulate rather well and are that little bit safer during un armored training. Great to see other out there studying this lost art!
@LukeDelBinkey . Yes time is what we need...well I tried to use synthetic sword but it was so slow in the air! hate it. But injured horses isn´t funny, you´re right! we also startet to use racing googles to protect the eyes of the horses.
Tough girls - great job!
Fighting blonde girls! It can't get any better. Good work, everyone.
Awesome!
