I’ve got a similar off-road diesel tank and I love it. Def makes for easy fuel storage and with the pallet forks slots it makes it super versatile/maneuverable. Have a great start to your week!
Excellent video Jayson. The camera placement and editing are so good. As a fellow youtuber, I realize how much time and effort go into a video like this.
Always like the cedar! Too bad on the battery.... I just got back from Goldendale,WA. Traded my buddy some nice Douglas fir logs for some Blue pine/ponderosa pine logs! Beautiful stuff!!
I have a 120 gal steel tank I used for fueling my plane. Bought it from my uncle 40 years ago, he used it for fueling his logging equipment for 40 years before that. It developed a pin hole over the winter and started leaking av gas. I got one of those plastic tanks off Amazon, free shipping to Alaska. I kind of questioned the cheap looking ChiCom pump. Supposed to be for diesel only but I pumped about 2500 gallons of avgas through it this summer, never missed a beat. Steel tank would have probably been fine if they hadn't made us fill it with water for the ferry trip up when we moved here.
My alternator went bad at 550 hours, knock on wood battery still holding up. I have a 100 gallon transfer tank with a hand crank, in fact I have 2. One gas one diesel. plenty of fuel for mill and tractors and skid steer. Hope all is going well Ron
Typical all set up for a good days milling and the battery dies. Some lovely timber your milling as well. New camera and mic are working good, good investment.
It's always sumpin isn't Jason. Do you get enough sunlight on the roof of your mill shed to warrant a solar battery charger? Just enough to keep the battery in good condition if you have not run the mill in a while. Great video thumbs up.
Thank you! You know, this battery has lasted since 2018. I feel like that’s pretty good for a run of the mill (no pun intended) battery. I could probably put a small panel or two on the roof to keep it topped off.
Man, the suspense on the "until" part of your title was killing me. I was for sure it was going to be you sawing into your little holdy thingy! Lol! Great editing on this video, and I love the new angles.
Hi Jason, was going to advise you to replace the battery now, it was struggling to start in relatively warm weather, in cold weather it would fail immediately, " failed now!!!"
Great video! Like the fly along right behind the blade. Say the diesel tank had... a... battery? Probably the wrong group size. Looking forward to the monster Doug's.
Looks like you need some teeth on your excavator bucket to help peel that industrial sized bark on that doug fir log. Do you use a trickle charger to keep your sawmill battery topped up? I am sure you could also get a small solar panel mounted on the sawmill shelter with a little charge controller to keep your batter charged while not in use.
I haven’t. It has one of those wind covers for it. I did figure out what I was doing wrong in my video and have done some actual recording. I may be able to try it a little more extensively tomorrow.
Work ,Kids School, TH-cam content you might have to take a break and recharge your own batteries . Editing skills still top notch . looked like a cracking day.
Great video.
Nice addition with the mic and GoPro, seems pretty good! Keep at it Jason, im interested in seeing the live edge shelf! Cya on the next one!
Thank you! I installed the shelf today but it didn’t go exactly as planned so I need to finish it up this week. It should post next weekend.
I'll bet that cedar smelled sooooo good! Glad to see you still editing in the signature moves in your videos!
Thank you, Jeff! There’s no mistaking cedar😉

Thank you! I like the fact that it won’t be taking up room in my truck.
14 inch wide boards are so much fun to work with.
Long as they don't turn into a canoe
That was a gorgeous log. Too bad about the battery. I’m catching won videos as we were out of town on vacation. Thanks, Jason!
Thank you! I hope to replace the battery later this week and get that monster milled up.
Some excellent milling as always!
Thanks, Rob!
👍👍
Always enjoy your milling work. Thanks Jason.
Thank YOU!

Thank you! It felt like I spent a little extra time on the camera work. It sounds like it paid off😉
Nice work. Best to ya!
Sure wish we had those big western cedars down here in the southeast.
I wish I had some of your walnut 😉
@@NorthwestSawyer man if we weren’t on opposite corners of the country we could work out a swap.

Awesome! I think you got the better deal on that trade😉
@@NorthwestSawyer Yes but he needed more structural strength lumber for building.

Thanks, Ron! I have a 35 gallon tank for my non-ethanol that I run in my gas engines. I adapted the hand crank to work off of a drill motor.

Thank you! I’ve re-inspired myself to get back at it.
You might find a jump box for around your place.wouldn't need a battery for the fuel take n can start anything immediately. I use mine everywhere.
I actually have one that I tried on it. For some reason it wouldn’t recognize that it was hooked up. Maybe the battery was just that bad.

Perfect time to upgrade to a 70. They come with new batteries.
That’s logic I can get behind 😂

Hey! Easy with all the technical terms there!🤣🤣🤣
Hi Jason, was going to advise you to replace the battery now, it was struggling to start in relatively warm weather, in cold weather it would fail immediately, " failed now!!!"
I’m also concerned about the low voltage damaging the electronics.

Thank you! The tank has a cord with clamps for a battery. I can’t wait to see what’s in that big Fir too!
You say you will replace the dead battery this winter.
This week might be better.
Two weeks ago would’ve been perfect 😉
That’s a quite pump. 😂😂😂
Shhhhhhh🤓
@@NorthwestSawyer quiet not quite. Lol.

I need to invest in a dozen chargers for all my gas powered goodies😂
Some how I keep getting unsubscribed.😮 But I'm back . From truck build milling logging, I enjoy videos. And I will keep finding you 😊
Thank you! And welcome back…. Again! And the next time too😉

Thank you! I was hoping for a little down time with this rain but the phone won’t stop ringing 😂
That anti-gravity slab at the beginning must have sucked the rest of the life out of your battery lol.
Bill
That could be my problem 😂
Did you know you can cut from the bottom up!
Sorry your sawmill needs attention hopefully it’s all sorted soon…..👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
This week, for sure!
You could have flipped it upside down song from the bottom of
You may be disapointed when you take your measurement on the butt end of the log.
A Sawyer will never use "inch and a quarter" as a measurement. that would be 5/4 "Five Quarter"
Then I get a hundred, what’s 5/4 mean questions 😂
14 inch wide boards are so much fun to work with.
