When you're young it makes a big difference, you're body is in better condition than when you're in you're early 70's like I am, and right now I would have to win a lottery to buy a new sled.
I lived in Northern WI for 5 years and I loved snowmobiling and I bought basically a touring snowmobile.. You talked about 400 km which is 250 miles.. I could put 200 miles on consistently but 250 miles would be a stretch.. My average speed was 30 mph which I would imagine if the trails were open for just a little farther I would be able to bump up my average speed to 45 mph and be able to get the 250 miles/400 km.. I am pretty sure that i would love that experience..
Lots of amazing places in Ontario to ride as well. What's nice is the Ontario and Quebec neighbour each other so we get to experience the best of both worlds.
We were referencing the maps from the new Ride Guide, which provides more of a synopsis of what to expect. 100% agree that everyone should reference the FCMQ site for detailed navigation.

Your map from Shawville to Maniwaki does not seem to match the FCMQ maps.
Maybe it's just very zoomed out.
