It's like each percentage setting is a different ROM. For some reason, up to 84%, the game's percentage is divided up roughly 3/1 between normal pot and streak pot. Some percentages do invisible reds, some don't. Then on 86% and above, they split the percentage more like 19/1, hence the streak taking for ever.

On a separate note, that Simpsons point you made about higher percentages and streak pots was originally made by my mate Ian (who knows Astras better than anyone I know), we (Dave, Ian and myself) had a long debate about Astra Pay It Again in Chatham Xmas 2023, it plays miles better on a lower percentage as the hold pot and PIA pot builds properly for its own version of a streak. I know Dave means well but for me (and tested on the emulator) many "streak" machines play much better on 82-86% but I suppose it also comes down to if a player has sucked the nectar out then the next doesnt get stung too hard (unless it is Magic 7 😂😂😂).

Additionally, yer old pal FSM is aware of certain higher %s either hindering or practically obliterating the streak pot. Think the older Cash Attack machines (or Up Up and Away) were awful when on 90pc or so. Nowhere near the detail that Guru and Whatwhat what possess, however.
@@FOREIGNSLOTMANIAC It was difficult to know what percentage any pots filled at on Cash Attack or Up Up and Away, as I was only ever interested in Hi-Lo Lottery. Could it be that you'd played a 90% one that had been "done" ?
@@GuruJus This wasn't one I played (actually never have played outside the emulator.) but just stories I heard, apparently this was repeated play from reset trying to get the streak out.
Interesting way of playing the simpsons , generally think its better taking follow me till it shows over £5 , probably not a lot of cost difference but wont take 2-3 hours . Is very similar to the dodgy mario kart streak and can have an extra 1 init , remember james blamed me for the video when he made it haha (think it was blame cupid or something lol i changed name) but on that vid was still going when finished , thats possibly still going at the end shouldnt die on a jp matchup unless , With daves programmes who knows lol. When it does start going on the" batty board version" as we used to call them , is as a normal version it 100% cant be a hidden red till its over, As usual will pause slighty for £6 £8 or the £ 10 and go quick for red or white jp. Happy new year all and stay off the lowtechs 😂
I'm not a fan of the follow me method, as you just end up with a load of red (or fake red) boards that need killing. I also like to know where the red board is, and don't like potting it off a red. I know it probably won't matter, but I still prefer to take it off a normal board. I think taking follow me would take longer on one with a streak percentage so low, as the number of boards you'd have to knock back would do your head in, and be very time consuming. I normally take less than £15 off a red board, but knowing that one is a slow streaker, I couldn't be arsed to keep collecting a quid, just to save time.
@GuruJus yeah probably aint any quicker just gives more quick boards and drops back in earlier when just killing feature or follow me. Normally just kill the phantom red feature till it does the slight pause for the £6 or take the 3 or 4 on a red, but as you say dont really make much difference , just rolls back in 3 presses later. Dont understand when you say like to know where the red is ,is always near , and when going taking the £4 on a white board is just taking £4 out the "streak pot " hate that saying lol. Would Liken it to playing an original , and taking the red each time and going for the streak or knocking it back and going for the streak, Probably not a massive difference but knocking it back going to be slightly more benficial probably 100% of the time .

@JamesHardyFruitMachines see every mazomms had a way to play. Hold a symbol no don't take it. Play them as soon as they spin in the feature it runs Iin feature

It went over mine at first, how the game played so differently based entirely on the percentage setting, its madness.
