It only reflects on the level of his own humbleness. Pt Bhemsen Joshi ji was an Icon that Pt Onkar Nath Thakar called a Sur-Devta. This is humbleness and appreciation together.
And he certainly did if we have to put it that way. It's practically impossible to sing like Pt Bhimsen Joshi and what he achieved. But Jasraj, being a little younger than the Pandit, manages to hold his own. This shows that he isn't far behind. Both were pure classical, but they also embraced the changing situation and new generation. That's why they are icons. Yes, we don't know how good Tansen could sing, but he certainly couldn't outmatch Bhimsen.
The Gods Pandit Jasraj and Pandit Bhimsen Joshi together.... Truly Jai Ho!!
Pt. Bhimsen Joshi Ji had a Taan that was unmatched in our era. Humbleness is when the senior allows the young to take the lead.
