It's clear you have a limited understanding of Fiqh ;if any at all. The brother follows the Hanafi Mathab and some hanafis don't consider drinking with the left hand an infraction. Also some later Hanabalis as well . For example when it comes to adab and there is a prohibition then it's something considered better to avoid . This includes and is similar to drinking while standing , blowing in the glass while drinking and many more cases. Some other scholars answer the issue about the man drinking with left after the Prophet instructed him not to being punished for not following his command when told! When people take a position in Fiqh that doesn't go with yours doesn't necessarily mean they are wrong and you are right . Ibn Taymiyyah said: Differing in Fiqh is a mercy " There is a book titled- Bidiyatul Mujtahid by ibn Rushd and inside you can learn why certain imam's took certain views and know their dalil. There are some errors though with citations as ibn Rushd wrote this book while traveling .
Nowdays i cant imagine some people are ignorant instead of concentrating dawa ore teaching the people wat benefits them they are busy one another am afraid that this would bring hatred and enmity among the muslims
