- ‘When Calls the Heart’s Erin Krakow crashes Kevin McGarry's interview as he chats with ET about season 11, premiering April 7 on Hallmark Channel. The co-stars chat about Elizabeth's new hairdo, and recall Nathan's infamous moustache from season 9. Plus, Erin and Kevin open up about Elizabeth and Nathan's future, and tease what fans can expect for their growing relationship.
When Calls the Heart is the finest show on television today. This is the kind of show America is needing and I hope this show will go on for many years to come.

"Nathan was created for Elizabeth" Couldn't have said it better myself, from their very first interaction it was clear to me and I've always shipped them together, even when the writing led her to be with Lucas I was still hoping for her and Nathan. I really enjoyed this interview and share the sentiments of both Kevin and Diedre. Not to take away from Lucabeth, they were great together, I just personally think her and Nathan are better suited for a number of reasons, I 'm so glad I didn't stop watching because things seemingly didn't play out the way I had hoped it would but we're here now and I'm so excited, even more so now that they both seem so excited to be working with each other more closely. I almost feel like this is a reward for staying the course. I only hope the breakup and subsequent relationship is portrayed respectfully and in consideration to all parties.
Also, I thought it was so sweet and considerate of Kevin to consider and acknowledge fans who aren't thrilled about this, I remember he also addressed Nathan fans who were disappointed when Elizabeth chose Lucas at the end of season 8. He is so awesome for that!

Such a great interview! Loved it. Can't wait to see Nathan And Elizabeth's romance. I always knew since the first day they touched each other's hand in S6 that they were always meant to be endgame. LS has done a phenomenal job in S10 and I can't wait to see how she weaves this storyline. I am also looking forward to the Allie and her real dad storyline, it's going to be heartbreaking for Allie. Looking forward to all the great stories. It's going to be an epic year with epic fan ratings. I have never seen a season in which so many are excited to watch. I've watched since S1 and I can't wait.
I would have loved to see Lucas and Elizabeth work it out since they made such a lovely couple, but I think I could warm up to a Nathan and Elizabeth love story 😊

I loved this interview! KM is such a humble person. Kuddos to him for his personal statement to TL fans. I am beyond excited to finally see Nathan and Elizabeth's love story. We've waited 5 yrs for this epic love story. They've had the chemistry, the depth, now the blended family. I have never seen a time when so many were excited to see a season like we are seeing now.
I also am excited to see RM, Lee, and baby Goldie. Can't wait to see B and RM detecting skills. Can't wait to see Allie scene with her real dad and the heartbreak she will face. Can't wait to see how L does as governor and his new love life develop(hoping its with Fiona). I just can't wait period. S11 hurry up and get here.

I accept your apology Kevin but it’s going to take some time for my heart to heal over Lucas. 😢😂 Also, so many characters have left the show and without warning. I hope that doesn’t happen with Chris’ character. It took several years for me to come back and watch the show after Jack died. It’s just a show but you guys are so good at acting it makes us believe it’s real life for about 45 min. 😂

Nathan take on the family not Lucas
Those of us who know that E & N were NOT endgame are sick of being gaslighted by what used to be a sweet show. Even if you’re a fan of KM/N, how can you be happy with the way they repeated/recreated scenes from E & L’s love story for whatever is going on between E & N? So creepy & weird. Couple that with the rewriting of history, destruction of show canon, and the juvenile/immature dialogue between E & N (kissing potatoes, furrowed brows, suspenders, etc.) and you’ve got a hot mess. Lindsay Sturman & EK as the “7th writer” destroyed this show.

Even a shirtless Kevin McGarry isn’t enough to get me to return to Hope Valley. The story has been ruined. If Elizabeth and Nathan are “end game” then seasons eight and nine should have never existed. I’ll pass. Hallmark’s desire to appease a particular fanbase is so very disappointing.
I think Nathan fans just want Nathan to be happy, and unfortunately they didn't give that to him in seasons 8 and 9. And now that he has a good story people are mad. Sorry, but Lucas isn't the only character on the show that deserves happiness or romance.

They didn’t have to ruin a beautiful love story .Nathan could have found love with someone else.My goodness his real life partner is on the show.That would have been amazing.
@@LucyRosinina-ek2mi True, they didn't have to, but for reasons unbeknownst to us they chose to. John Tinker had two seasons to give Nathan a solid happy relationship, and he didn't. Also, Nathan and Elizabeth were still very close friends even in S9, so their interactions in S10 were not out of pattern for them. I guarantee Lucas will have an intriguing storyline in S11 to make up for his heartbreak.

I love WCTH,but I was not a fan of that ridiculous triangle .They just should have paired off with 2 different women & everyone would be happy.Look at Lee & Rosemary ,they’ve been married from the start & they have a good storyline that’s never boring.just my opinion.
@@ellyc87I am well aware that Lucas is not the only character in Hope Valley. It’s an ensemble cast that for nine seasons consistently delivered excellent heartfelt stories. But, it’s pointless to talk story credibility to fans who only have one objective-the “happiness” of a “single” character, Nathan. Your logic is nonsense. Those fans who are upset about Elizabeth dumping Lucas are upset because it makes no sense-it goes against three seasons of story development. Be happy-you got your way, and in doing so the writers have dismantled Elizabeth’s integrity and independence.

The story is back to its original trajectory, and the feel of the show is a huge, vast improvement! Thanks for turning this story line back to a closer similarity to the books they are based on. Cannot wait to see the endgame that is a teacher and a most honorable Mountie!

When Elizabeth chose Lucas, I actually stopped watching the show. I knew, deep down, Nathan was the one for her. Now I caN start watching again :)
Such a great interview! Kevin is so darn handsome! It’s been obvious to the majority of the fan base that Nathan was created for Elizabeth. Kevin and Erin have incredible chemistry and I can’t wait for Nathan and Elizabeth’s love story to come full circle. Hopefully a wedding during S11 and that will put the love triangle to bed once and for all.

I agree with the interviewer, there's many heartbeats on this show! While I'm super excited for Nathan and Elizabeth's love story, I'm also excited to see what's next for everyone else. Rosemary and Lee, Mei and Mike, the Canfields, Fiona, Faith, etc! So many amazing stories to look forward to.

Just solidifying what we've known from the beginnng!!! There is a reason why Kevin & Erin nailed their chemistry read together way back before it all started. These two are amazing together on & offscreen!! Glad too, Lucas is finally getting an edgier storyline.

Great interview DB as always! I’m absolutely thrilled to see the love story of Nathan & Elizabeth come to fruition. I never thought it would happen, and I’m ecstatic we are finally here. It’s a very complex, deep relationship that has withstood A LOT. I’m equally excited to see Allie, the motherless child get the mama she has been longing to have for so long. Love the idea of some good family stories… it’s something we are missing in today’s content and desperately in need of. Mountie and Teacher as the orig story is epic and wholesome storyline..same goes for all the characters..its an ensemble of a great actors and actresses who are great friends in and out of movie sets! WCTH remains strong with E & N as romantic couple!

I definitely think that Nathan and Elizabeth belong together. The thing that sticks in the back of my mind is from the beginning Lucas has had secrets from his past, which has been largely ignored over the last several seasons.
Absolutely, the writers ignored for too long the introduction of Lucas in Hope Valley! He was speaking french with someone over the phone, he had money hidden under a crate of fish or something. Anyway, he was a mysterious man when he arrived and, all of a sudden, he became mister nice and ready to marry Elisabeth!!! I always thought that the Lucas caractere was very much alike Charles , Elisabeth’s childhood friend! They are both sophisticated, educated, well looking and rich. Elisabeth is no longer that woman who grew up rich, she’s a Coal/Hope Valley woman now!
I thought the same with Lucas being like Charles. She had alot in common with both but did not want that lifestyle anymore with Charles so she chose Jack.
All those things were later explained to those paying attention.
And he was helping others!
And planning surprises for the town.
Sometimes, he was speaking French on the phone while protecting a female friend whom he'd saved from some villians!
