They sort of sweat(?) To get the loose shed off and fluid will build up under their eye caps to make it easier to get off. If they're in a proper environment (higher humidity) the shedding will start at the face and they'll just sort of wiggle out of it over time. Other than that its just like humans with how we have dry skin that flakes off during a sunburn.
Im not an expert btw, i just have a pet snake and read a lot about this. :)

Sad for those who are unable to observe and learn from nature.
I think thats the only animal you can learn a lot from it. The past has to be left behind, and once you leave this skin, the past, you never look behind, you never look back again at past memories , at the dead skin.
They dont have legs n toes, like others but they move so easily. They donot have ears but listesn with its whole body just like life does.where ever u r , life listens to you.
