awesome, these new kick boxers have great boxing skillz. it was a major skill that was not getting alot of attention. but now im seeing alot of focus on the boxing and kicks, which usually only the top fighters possess both at a high level.

Same here, first time saw Janet, hot damn she is impressive. Footwork and the stamina to fuel it are both off the charts. Precision, power, intelligence - all there in force. But what had bought me first and foremost - she's actually been taught to kick without dropping hands, and without any power losses at that - now this is what I call class. That absentee leg kick defense was just about the only weak spot in her game, and cudos to Stamp for noting and exploiting, but Janet was just too powerful that night.

Janet looked surprised that she won that one. I think it could have gone either way. Both fighters gave it their all and a very entertaining match. Stamp probably got it going too late. But she came back better anyways. Good stuff.
It's because Janet was throwing a lot of stuff but not everything was connecting & she just doesn't have the power Stamp has.

@@lupomena not within earshot of the fighters. Commentary is done in another room for Contender for example.

Tough fight,. Todd did a very smart fight and surprised Stamp who didn't seem at ease and missed a lot of low kicks with Todd always evading them to the right or stepping back. A very close fight but Todd was leading the offense and Stamp too passive.
Stamp's team should guide her more on kickboxing rule, as it scores differently than MuayThai. Being too passive, I saw that the ref need to remind them both to fight.
Huge Stamp fan but the judges got this one right in my opinion

Janet just from the start kept circling to Stamps left and the only way to contain her was to throw the lead hook or a switch kick, but stamp really didn't even try to start doing that until the third or fourth and when she did you immediately see Janet's feet start to move backwards, and then back into Stamp's power side. She really should've tried to force that early on and then that would've even punctuated those nasty thigh kicks she was landing.

This ref is notorious for breaking up good, active clinching positions and it's so annoying. Any time I see him calling a fight I'm already feeling annoyed before the action even gets going. I know this wasn't Muay Thai where you're gonna see knee and elbow action but the couple times they clinched up they were both firing off good and he just stepped in like NO!
Stamp definitely was slow and Janet was a little bit faster today
