  • Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by superstar former footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic for an exclusive interview airing on Thursday night. In this preview clip, Piers asks Zlatan what he thinks is going wrong at Manchester United and why boss Erik ten Hag may be struggling to manage the players.
Zlatan theorises that the manager may lack experience managing superstar big-name players having come from Ajax which in the recent past has only utilised young talent who have a different mindset to experienced players such as Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo, both whom have had public fall-outs with the club.

Conclusion: Ten Hag isn’t a bad manager. He’s just a manager who is far more suited to coaching and developing young talents like in Ajax than managing star players like in Manchester United. Zlatan didn’t talk bad about him for this reason, but he did also imply he wasn’t as suited to Manchester as he was in his past clubs.

We have been bad for 10 years thats 1 thing..and how do we define star players ? By their wages? Or by ehat they have in their closet as trophies? If its about wages, then we are the biggest super star club in the world..and if trophies, there is no star in the team and they are all average players..ETH was signed to rebuild the team by mixing young talents with experienced players, and to sell some academy players and honestly for the glazers to try and generate money from the academy young talents! A rebuild requires time and patience, applying the style of play he wants to play is gonna take time, and please no one say look at klopp, klopp insisted to force his game if olay in the first season and he finished 8th..ten hag played almost counter attack to get results and champions league then to bring in players he is missing from different positions and sell other players that does not serve his style of play, the problem is that it didnt happen quite well this transfer window, lots of injuries also did not help him at all, some players are not in form mentality Wise..so the season is long and the process of rebuilding is longer..in my own opinion, we need to have patience because we already have been bad and bot winning big trophies for 10 years, so what difference it would make to wait more for the rebuild?

Erik Ten Hag was disciplinarian at Ajax, dropped a senior player for being late I think in a game with title on the line. I think Klopp's quote from couple years back applies very well to managers that succeed at top level "we can be friends but we won't be best friends"

And even if it takes another 5 years utd NEED THIS. The players union got too strong with pogba, rashford, lukaku, lingard all in a tight group along with the young players comjng through. They got van gaal sacked after winning a trophy from player power.
They got mourinho sacked from player power.. the power should never be with the players. The manager needs too be in charge. Pep at city even though it wasnt an attitude thing, immediatly got rid of joe hart a huge decision because it wasnt tht style of keeper he wanted. As far as last season with cancelo. Other than alfonso davies he was the best left back in the world! He was incredible for city! Whatever happend behind closed doors we still dont know but hes gone, and they played without a left back because mendy was gone too. Doesnt matter. The manager said nope, the best left back in the league and helping the team so much doesnt matter ur gone, even on loan.
Arteta at arsenal. Aubamayeng clearly something happend and couldnt be resolved. No problem ur gone. U might get us 20 goals this season but ur not bigger than the club no matter what, we will figure it out just train with the kids or stay home and we will fine u. But arsenal will push on for better or worse.
Then they challenge for the title last season and the team unit are so strong.
At utd. After sir alex.. the players somehow gained more pull than the manager and thats been their problem. ETH is bringing back the culture of i dont care if ur ronaldo, sancho costing 90 mill ur not bigger than utd. This is exactly what they need and ten hag has been backed through ronaldo and sancho. At some point this will click and get back too ur so fucking lucky too play for utd how dare u tweet shit, how dare u refuse too come on and also go home at half time during pre season when ur the goat and should be inspiring these players and cheering them on. Its took balls especially with ronaldo but this is what utd need

Pep cut the deadwood and those that didn’t fit his style multiple times, City has the funds to do so, but he also had some veteran support in the dressing room like David Silva, maybe Aguerro, Kompany seems like a team player, Klopp sold a bunch of expensive veterans after first year, but he had veteran support of players like Henderson and Milner, Arteta was was a former player that gave him extra time and he bet on youth that can be molded and expensive free agents, remember fans were calling for Arteta’s head before last year’s, ETH doesn’t have the ex player good will, his signings haven’t hit the ground running like Klopp’s when he took over, he doesn’t have Klopp’s charisma or Pep’s aura, I think the one thing that can save ETH is that I don’t think there are better options out there right now. This team isn’t built for Hansi Flick’s all out attacking style, think Xabi Alonso needs to finish out the year, probably get another one under his belt before moving up, and you have his Liverpool connection and his desire to manage Real Madrid, do you go De Zerbi and hope it’s him and not Brighton behind his success, try one of Portuguese up and coming, wiz kid coaches, Zidane is not coming, roll the dice on Antonio Conte or Brendan Rodgers, Nagelsmann took Germany job, it’s slim pickings right now and possibly next summer too unless you want a retread or up and comer that had even less success than ETH…. Forgot, there’s Gary Neville….

His piers interview had more sense than Cr7's zlatan just pointed the out mistakes correctly whereas Cr7 was like complaining about the acknowledgement he didn't get. Zlatan pointed out 1,fact ETH lack of experience in handling star players .2, not able to cope up with the project either believe in it or neglect... Because of lack of good results eth is actually going through two different situations. 3. He didn’t handle the Cristiano issue the best that’s the only criticism you can give him. Anyone else talking nonsense about him knows nothing about football. Ronaldo could not avoid being who he was built to be . And I say this not as go at his ego or as a ronaldo fan, as I as a benfica supporter dislike him - rather that he cannot avoid being portuguese, were many are warm headed , on the spot reaction type of individuals when they think they are being shafted. I lived enough years in portugal to have seen this type of reaction from kids to elderly folk , to guys in important positions. it is kind of built into the national DNA . kind of the same way Guardiola had a scuffle with cancelo that could easily be solved but did not since both Guardiola and Cancelo are emotion based. Or Mourinho and his never endings snipes , or Ricardo Sa Pinto that even punched and knocked down his own national coach, or Porto's head coach, that has 25 red cards as a coach, and i could just keep going on. ETH was probably not expecting ronaldo to come out banging on a tv interview - what overall was a bad decision, yet at the same time for someone that is not portuguese but lives in the country for 25 years, ronaldo's reaction and choice was not surprising. Had ETH tried to handle the thing in a less cold more warm manner things would end up being different.
That said I am not sure if ETH will keep his position for long nor that he is the ideal for Man Utd. Some individuals can be class managers and still not be the proper cultural fit for a club.

But TH has not really showed his desire to use the academy reserve even last season when it was glaringly obvious he needed to rest the players. The same thing after beating Palace when he played a few youngsters that made a lot of difference to the whole team. He ignores the obvious, that is to rest the ineffective players like Rashford and play players who demonstrated they could easily play in the first team. That is one of my gripes with TH. Way too stubborn to change the system to get result. If he won’t be too rigid he might just find the right solutions to the problem.
