Wow, what great stuff David! Beautiful Cohen comp. Was fortunate to see him live in 2013. Amazing. I have that Prince release: on the jazzy side and very good. M Faithfull I know I'd like. 😎🎶
Hi there David, those look very interesting listens indeed, esp the Leonard Cohen dbl album. I have to thank you for introducing me to a band I'd never really listened to and that is The Ohio Players, you featured their album Angel on a video of yours recently, and on a trip to a record fair shortly after I found a copy, so I bought it and wow! I love it, picked up a couple more on CD since so thank you for this David, much appreciated.
This hot weather is bloody hard work, Rob. I spend all the winter and rainy spring moaning about the weather not being conducive to cycling, and when the sun comes out I still complain. Go figure. By the way, I see someone has launched a Summer Vinyl Tag. I hope you're getting some credit for this!
Sir David. Glad to see you still aligning your Ying and Yang with vinyl haul purchases. Good on you mate! On hot vinyl nirvana area. Heat pump! Here in lotus land Canada ( ha!) The big push is on here with government grants from both Provincial and Federal up to $12k cdn. Towards heat pump installation. Our Province (BC) electrical is 100% hydro power. Net exporter of electricity (for now) . And such program in UK as to heat pumps?. Stay cool!
Hi Pat. Heat pumps are controversial over here. Installation costs are through the roof, and the disruption involved is purported to be horrendous. My solution for my listening room is to pack every nook and cranny with insulation. Warmer in the winter, and (slightly) cooler in the summer. So far it's working. :-)
Hi David, I never saw that Warsaw album, didn't even know it existed. I'm sure Embryonic Brian would agree with me, the Leonard Cohen compilation looks appealing.
Hi David. Big fan here. The Vault by Prince was actually released in the late 90s to get out of his Warner Bros contract, and it is really not very good. Love the vault releases we have got since his death (the Super Deluxe Editions). Hope there's lots more to come. From what I hear those box sets aren't selling that well.
David, although New Boots & Panties is a classic, Do It Yourself is a ripper too. I have quite a bit Joy Division & New Order, but never had Warsaw & not sure if I've ever heard it either. Good haul.
Cheers Ben. I'll no doubt provide an update on Warsaw. I always found 'Unknown Pleasures' inferior to 'Closer', but I've softened my position on that over the years. I'm hoping I ready for the edginess of Warsaw. We'll see.
@@davidatkinson-lifematters4826 Really? Interesting. Unknown Pleasures was my “in” to JD. It’s always interesting to hear what albums of fav artists appeal to other people, especially when it’s different. Cheers…Ben
Warsaw.... Dave, the guitar tone on “Failures” and “No Love Lost” is amazing!

Hi David! Somehow that Warsaw album was never on my radar. It is now. That Leonard Cohen compilation looks great.

Cheers Terry. The Ohio Players are great, aren't they. I ignored them for years; now they're on my wants list for every visit to a record shop.
Hi David nice stack of purchases…now get back in the garden😎☀️☀️☀️

Cheers FVA. That Cohen album was a steal, and so much more interesting than his first 'Best of'!

I've got the 'Sign 'o' the Times' and 'Diamonds and Pearls' super deluxe sets. I'm looking forward to a deluxe version of 'Parade'.
