- Purchased 2nd hand, a 1987 Yamaha 4 horse power- 2 stroke outboard engine.
I have seen it running before I bought it. This is the first test since I Bought it.
I am considering doing a full service. if you have any tips please write in the comments. service will include replacing the water impeller, cleaning the carburettor, checking for any crystallised salt deposits.
I am also planning to find the original paint colour and sand a little and paint it and paint the propeller. It looks good inside but outside is a little rough. This is the maximum horse power for an inflatable Zodiac I bought 2nd hand also.
