Hi! Can we have more information about who, when and why this song was written.
It's one of my life time favorites after learning it in my 4th grade music class in Miami, FL. circa - late 60s. Even for the 13 years I spent waking up in New York City, Boston, New England etc.
I'm glad to be waking up again (for a while now) in my "HOME" state. And often hum this in the morning...
