I love both the 7mm and 8mm. As a reloader, both have their own advantage. It is so much easier to find bullets for that 7mm. Lots of variety because of 7 RM and the like. The 8mm advantage is in the brass. I can easily trim and form GI .30-06 brass and then use my own cast .323 bullets. Life is good.
Partial to the 7 mm only because my first rifle was a 1916!Spanish Mauser ... those 85 Chileans are still around in the surplus market and reasonable. In price. They can be found in very good condition if you are patient . The Ludwig- Lowe ones also have the advantage of being pre- ‘98 and therefore classified as antiques . Good luck in your search !
The 6.5 Swede and 7x57, in my experience use the same clip. The 8s use a slightly smaller width. I have found that '03 Springfield clips use the same width as the 6.5s & 7s, IIRC.
I don’t know if you’ve heard but that Turkish 8mm has been known to blow up actions. That being said, the Mauser is the only rifle I would trust to fire that Turkish shit out of. I definitely don’t think I would purposely run it through mine but if I had too than I guess I would. But I have seen quite a few different videos about that . If I’m not mistaking I think Ian talks about it in one of his videos on Forgotten Weapons. That stuff is super spicy
Hi, so I didn’t understand what kind of rifles you have in your hands, I don’t speak English. Plus the video quality is bad. What kind of 8mm carbine is at 1.07 minutes and the next one is like 7mm?
For "Milsurp Range Work" aka : Target n Steel shooting ya can't beat the .8mm round.... Now if your going hunting which .7mm is good for.... I would just get a "New Made " .7mm Rifle with a Pic Rail n Scope.... jmo......be well.

Ive got a 7mm spanish mauser carbine. Good rifle.
I've have a 1916 Spanish in 7mm that I've shot a dozen white tails with. I'd prefer it to an 8mm

Good video!
Fun Video I enjoyed this one.
That rifle is a VZ 24 Mauser.
I love both I have both
Looks like you loaded a round Into the chamber of the 8mm and then grounded it muzzle up without putting it on safe. Bad practice.
