I remember you saying on one of your live streams that you really liked Mystia's theme. Nice to see you do justice with it 🔥🔥🔥

Mystia's theme by itself is rather simple and unremarkable. But it has this unique opening that really sets itself up for all sorts of arrangements building up high tension with just those four notes.
I'm not too certain about the sudden drop in tension at 0:40 though. It feels like you were building up for nothing here and I feel left hanging in the air as a new tone is established.
1:40 picks it up again properly, however, which is nice. The buildup for the rest of the piece feels good to listen to.
I like the strings here, not as part of the background but deliberately placed in front next to the piano and guitar. A counter-melody providing some beautiful extra colours to the piece by calling out to the stage theme, without calling too far away from the original boss theme.
This is a unique piece all right. It's obviously Deaf to All but the Song, but it's creative with its melodies, rhythms and harmonies, in order to create a new musical identity for itself as more than "just another arrangement". I really like this style.
usually i start the song slow so im doing the opposite in this one hahaha (actually i just want to try the drop A in my guitar tuning XD)
@@SinXNad since I forgot: congrats on the 2,000. The EoSD medley did that almost all by itself, so at this rate the channel is going to be a lot of medleys with a few pieces like this in-between.
Although I do think the uncanny success of the scarlet devil is partly due to that game being so beloved. Let's see how much your future medleys blow up; I know I'll be here to listen regardless.
Ahh... Now, _this..._ This brings back memories... One of the very first Touhou PVs I ever saw, more than a decade ago now, was Sekkenya's "Unable to do Anything but Sing"... I've returned back to it many times over the years, and it always awakens in me a certain sympathy for not just Mystia but youkai-kind as a whole... I think I'll go give it yet another view...
When this song came out i was writing a rant about a super bland ice and fire weapon¹ to a developer of a pretty cool game², specifically i was at the stage of giving suggestions to make the weapon something. This shall be my background music for writing the rest of that rant
1 - literally lmb shoot weak bullet fast, rmb shoot medium-strong aoe bullet slow for a resource, as bland as it can get with that game's mechanics, especially given that there is a more fun version of that weapon that was made first. Also, this comment has annotations, the reason being fuck it, I can't speak like a human
2 - Warden's Will, so far only has a free demo

So awesome! Mystia will always be special to me because her theme was the first Touhou song that I ever listened to. And I'm all up for another medley at 2500k. Maybe a PCB or IN one? 😉

A game with a banger soundtrack is lotus land story, not many remixes of alice maestra exist, maybe not medley material tho. Really glad you made a fantastic remix of yuukas theme, so glad to see a modern remix of that.
Subterranean animism also has a lot of tracks that might make a good medley.
