My first time seeing you channel...right now. O am the most girliest city girl ever and know Nothing about farming...but this video was Awesome...you land is Beautiful and your cows are Gorgeous...I yearn for this lifestyle...I'm a new sub...thanks for this Wonderful video...
My first time seeing you and your farm is the embodiment of a dream. The longer I live, the more I realize the importance and necessity of self reliance. AfricanAmericans farms and homesteads and self sufficient, prosperous communities are my dream. Although, after reconstruction many successful neighborhoods were razed and the inhabitants murdered and the assets stolen, I feel blessed to see the resurgence of owning land and making it work. God bless you and yours.
If cows had a choice where they would want to be born, all of them would choose Pride Ranch. You’re treating them like precious gold. Great inspiration…❤️❤️❤️
Thanks! I put a ton of time, energy, and effort to care for my cattle. Some friends tell me I might have them spoiled!! :-) I don't mind. I like to keep the cattle in the right body condition.
I grew up on a farm and hated it when I was young but missed it when I got older and now I have a small one. but man' its good to see brothers owning big farms
Just seeing! I must say what a beautiful ranch! You can tell by how the cattle are watching you that you take great care with the care you put into them! Continue with that because they look real healthy! Hope your help is as attentive as you are! Man your open pastures looks good!
I love seeing the calf. They are watching you and the adults very closely. I love it that they are even staying near by with the group instead of wondering or walking off. I love the animals.
Just found your page. I enjoy farmer Tyler Ranch and Sonne Farms on TH-cam already. Your set up looks like I will enjoy watching and rooting for your success as well. Now to go back to the beginning and binge watch the earlier videos.
Thanks for stopping by! I'll try my best to share what i'm experiencing. My family and neighbor convinced me to share. If there is something you are interested in, let me know.
While Angus is king due to a bit of marketing power….one must always be cognizant of the environment. In TX…heat/humidity. Takes a toll. King Ranch developed the Santa Gertrudis breed looong time ago for that reason. Brangus another example of cattle bred for thriving in TX. Nice herd! Like your sustainability mindset.
Love it!!! You are absolutely correct!! I didn’t know this when I started. I gravitated to the Brangus breed. Didn’t know the difference. Then I visited a top Angus ranch in Texas last September. I was amazed to see how they appeared to have a difficult time breathing while covered in shade. Later that day I was back at my place and some of my Brangus were sunbathing and others were grazing.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I love how you take care and love your cattle and they know this about you and they trust you so much. There are some good cattlemen and some bad ones and you are one of the good ones. @@PrideRanch I am from south Mississippi near Harrisburg down in Columbia ,Mississippi. Thank you!! And awesome!!! Will you raise cattle too? If so, what kind? Let me know if I can help in any way. I’m building a community of like minded cattle ranchers
This is my first time watching your channel. Very beautiful land. Where is your farm state. I’m a city lady and I’ve enjoyed seeing what a day in a life of a cattle rancher is like. Keep up the great work.
I’m soo happy and proud to see this in my lifetime and I subscribed today and I am soo eager to start watching you and the progress you’ve achieved bless you 🙏
hahahahaha.....I like Angus and Brangus. I own 2 registered angus heifers out of 44 Farms. I do notice the Angus have a much more difficult time in Texas heat and humidity.
Greg Judy uses two logs to hold the bales off the ground. Bales might not be as big as yours. But he’s a penny pincher. He buys his hay, it removes fertility from the land.
I was thinking the same thing. When the cattle relieve themselves, it add the nutrients back to the ground. Also, look at increasing your riparian area around your stream. This will give your cattle more room to relax while being in the shady for the hot months. Also, look at White Oak Pasture. He is very good at Ranching. He has been doing for about 30 years now. Cheers!
You can build an inexpensive hay bar using shipping containers and shipping containers and ship and container covers. The 40 foot wide is 23 foot high. You can. Buy front and back walls to those covor walls with flaps. Plus you can use the container for fade and equipment. Not expensive about 15 to $20000.

He used the locking Differential they can lock there rear axle in if the first one comes off the ground!
Off camera he told me what a locking differential was. I had no idea what he was talking about.
Greg Judy uses two logs to hold the bales off the ground. Bales might not be as big as yours. But he’s a penny pincher. He buys his hay, it removes fertility from the land.
I’ll have to check this out. What do you mean by hay removes fertility from the land? Are you meaning the nitrogen?
All his grass is eaten, trampled, and food for the lands micro organisms that are beneficial rather than removing it. Also intensive grazing
I was thinking the same thing. When the cattle relieve themselves, it add the nutrients back to the ground. Also, look at increasing your riparian area around your stream. This will give your cattle more room to relax while being in the shady for the hot months.
