That S550 with gutted interior, bigs/littles and a somewhat thin driver would easily put it in the 3400lb range. Add in any potential further WR done through suspension and it could be even lighter than that. They're not fat tanks. My 2018 A10 GT weighed 3720. GTFO with that nonsense about "well put a blower on the 5.0". I mean if we're going to go down that road, let's go mod for mod. Right? That's just a dumb argument.

I own a stang myself 2016 I’m stock but my throttle response is very slow I can say he probably reacting a little more faster than he should but the second race I felt like he did pretty good with that one. Man, the 4-5 jump in the A8 GM transmissions is bad. Too big of a gap, the car just falls on its face. Still impressive cars, but you can hear it hit 5th and then it’ll just stay in gear forever. He was just hitting 5th in these races, I think, so it isn’t as apparent, but you can still hear it. The M7 in those cars has great gearing for roll racing.
Yup 5th gear bog is terrible in the 8L90. Shame because otherwise it's a great transmission. 10 speeds are only faster than the 8 speed because of that bog. The 4-5 gear ratios aren't even that far apart it's mostly a tuning issue.
Riley Neufeld is that what it is, a tuning issue? I’ve heard some cars hang the converter unlocked longer on the 4-5 until the car gets back up on top of the gear, but I’m not sure how much it helps. I’ve never asked a tuner, but some of the faster cars, you can hear the converter unlocked on the 4-5 shift and for a good amount of 5th. Shame! Anyone offer a 10L swap? A 10L CTS-V would be my ideal! 🏎🚀
