I knitted with elastic yarn before, not the yarn from Lidl, but from a Danish manufacturer. I used the yarn for the leg part so the sock doesn't slip down. It works. I don't think you will feel a difference of 75 and 70 % wool.
@@papagaaiable Elastic yarn doesn’t have wool, it’s 70% acrylic, which is basically plastic. I don’t use acrylic yarn for hand knitted garments, just for toys.
@@papagaaiable , I used normal classic sock yarn with 75% wool already, and it worked perfectly. I've returned the stretchy acrilic one as it's not very great for me. Couldn't change it as no more sock yarn in our local Lidl. Maybe will come more later. 🧶🤗❤
I will have a look for this next time I am near Lidl. I haven't seen elasticated yarn before, but I will give it a try. The wool one, too.
@@juliejealous632 I am knitting socks already with wool one and I’ve returned elastic yarn, don’t think it’s suitable for me 🧶🤗❤️

@@VitaCrafts ok, maybe you can bring it back and change?
The stretch yarn I used had 75 % wool.

Didn't know you could get this yarn at Lidl. Thank you for the information. UK
@@jacksonstableford8429 Yes, it was surprise for me too, never saw yarn in Lidl before.
