can we appreciate this dancing though??? as a dancer it’s really interesting to see this blend of hip hop and broadway dance. there’s even a few ballet steps thrown in there. it really fits the message of the song, with hip hop traditionally being extremely masculine and broadway and ballet always being viewed as feminine and not cool or interesting. fantastic job!! love love love this song and all the thought put into this video

I may have interpreted this wrong, but I really like how the hues of the lights reflect the different aspects of a person's personality, and how the combination of warm and cool tones symbolize both the clashing and complementary nature of a single person's "masculine" and "feminine" sides. Like the blend of a dominating blue with a soft pink while contemplating what society expects of males, and the sudden switch to hot pink when you decide that you "don't give a damn" about what others may expect of you. I think a lot of it is thinking that how you feel is relatable to other people but then realising that's not the case. My sister (who's trans) told me that she thought that 'this is normal and doesn't everyone feel like a girl?' but cis & trans men do exist sooo that rules it out. Also to be honest I thought that everyone liked women...
