    Lol, a mud race. So much Roman/Medieval pottery in that area. Matt’s little bottle is lovely. His little pot also. Out in the nick of time. The tide came in quickly.The bottles look so pretty after cleaning. Wow, your art on the copper piece is beautiful.

    The collection of neolithic flint tools is fascinating. Amazing to find such artifacts intact millenia after they were made by neanderthals..

      Neanderthals would not have made neolithic tools. They were from the paleolithic era. Look up "paleolithic", "mesolithic", and "neolithic".

      flint was used by humans for ay longer than any metals! .... its easier to find metal tools as we are more familiar wit what they look like! - flint just looks like stones etc to the untrained eye!! I spend some of my time post - mudlark wondering what objects I may have missed due to my inexperience!

      Neanderthals died out 30k years ago. The Neolithic was 4 or 5k years ago. Those are my ancestors you're talking about bro. 🤣

    I hunt native american artifacts in Tennessee. Cool ancient finds. The pot looks like missippian shell tempered. Coo flint celt and the neanderthal stuff is awesome

    Great finds! Just thought I mention that Neanderthals were humans...just a primitive version of who we are now. The "missing link" has never been found because it doesn't exist. Keep in mind too that many scientists admit that the dating methods we have are very flawed so the age of things is often very much off.

    PS: I have found through the times, a fair few pieces of flint. Where I feel that there is no way in the world (Im no expert, but I am biased as its my find you see) that the flint was not handmade. But lord knows :p

      @@Sifinds I'm also addicted to the show Time Team because of their 3 day thing they find roman mosaics, iron age stuff , I'm talking 3000+ years of history which is American history too because we wouldn't be here if not for Great Britain
