I wonder if Charlie Brooker gets the irony of doing a show about how television makes people fear for themselves, when his show is doing the exact same thing?
It's a parody of a 1970's cartoon called "Ludwig". Ludwig was an egg-shaped gem who lived amongst various woodland animals and bloody loved to play a bit of Beethoven whenever the opportunity presented itself.
Christos Rymenidis Exactly, this whole show is admitting to 70 years of propaganda only to try and put you off investigating 'conspiracy theories' briefly in the last episode. This show is damage control.
Brilliant series by Charlie Broker yet again. I can't stop laughing watching this! Broker is just brilliant at presenting different subjects with a satirical way.
@lycanfan He is also highly critical (and snarky) about the internet, some types of books, video games and every newspaper (including the Guardian for whom he occasionally writes a column) in Britain in his other stuff. But his brief is television and he is more known for his unique approach to TV criticism so that's why this stuff concentrates on TV.
"Simply wouldn't have happened if he'd have used a wooden kite. Idiot." LOL!!!! I'm an American, but the UK in general always has some great stuff on TV! Well, somewhat; most American and UK TV(or hybrids thereof, like stuff on Science or Discovery channels, produced and filmed in both places sometimes) is a terrible waste of time, but every now and then, there's some great stuff! You guys over there are so jaded and cynical and sarcastic, it's great tho ;)
As an American child I was unnerved by the relatively benign Muppet, Sesame Street, and Mr. Roger's puppet characters... had I met with these British puppet counterparts in my youth I would surely have been severely more disturbed and my adult mind even more addled... condolences to my cousins across the sea 🫡
It's not an American show so it doesn't have like 30 advert breaks and is also shown on BBC which does not have any advertisement. This is just part 1.
The Grim Reaper went bowling in Australia to promote AIDS awareness, but it worked. Would have been funnier if for $6.50 you get two games, shoe hire, hot dogs fries and a HIV test.
"Yeah careful, Jimmy. You don't want to get splinters breaking into that high voltage substation."
I'm dying.
This is so funny yet true and slightly depressing at the same time. He sums everything up to a tee.

Love all the old PIFs, and what is that awesome track at 02:30?
Check out Little John from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves getting electrocuted. Nice work!!!

That's a show right?

This show is damage control.
I found that quite comforting. I think something in my brain is wired wrong...
I love how it is 15 minutes long, likely a half hour show with half advertisements.
"a nuclear bomb could cause millions of pounds worth of improvement to Sheffield's architecture"
LMAO XD
Brookers a legend.
Brilliant series by Charlie Broker yet again. I can't stop laughing watching this! Broker is just brilliant at presenting different subjects with a satirical way.
I love how they used "someone great" for the sound track in the beginning
'Cheer up mate, least you got a free draft-excluder out of it' lololololololol
'Orloff'- *shiver.
For me it was that moose on the wall in the Banana Splits' pad.
@Lindelamare A British Army NCO, who was an instructor in Nuclear/Biological/Chemical defence once told me that 'Threads' scared even him!
I am a total PIF junkie. This stuff is my horror-film fix. Proper horror films aren't nearly good enough. :)
Those kids safety films of the 70s still terrify me.
@hardgayramen4ever how can u laugh at that but is it me or did it look like he was touchin the pilon not the kite
Jeez I went to Plymouth recently, it's as bad as he implies.

I remember Threads - I shit my brains out my eyes from fear.
a bit cheesy but non the least VERY interesting and totally true. First time watching.
"Why does everybody have to die?" Ya know, you really shouldn't try to scare people to death over death.
@xHellfire Thanks Mate, you've just made an old man very happy!
@DuckOfDestiny, suddenly the old "it is always the most normal looking ones ...." comes to mind.
wats that music at 07:39
I miss when Charlie Brooker did this sort of stuff.
00:30 - That is a really old Nissan Micra.
"Simply wouldn't have happened if he'd have used a wooden kite. Idiot." LOL!!!! I'm an American, but the UK in general always has some great stuff on TV! "Everything and everybody has to die." Goddamn, was that Jim Jones television show or something?
Threads is literally the worst thing I've ever seen. I've lived a sheltered life, but still...

That should be the new mask of Anonymus. That'd be more threatning...
I love Orlov!
It's not an American show so it doesn't have like 30 advert breaks and is also shown on BBC which does not have any advertisement. This is just part 1.
Story by J Robert Oppenheimer xD 10:55 heh, would have had more sanskrit if it was REALLY by him :)
Another good episode by Brooker :)
Beep Bloop J Robert Oppenheimer......
I don’t get it....
I am never going to sleep again!!
For a split second I thought the guy in the thumbnail was Jonah Hill.
The Grim Reaper went bowling in Australia to promote AIDS awareness, but it worked. Would have been funnier if for $6.50 you get two games, shoe hire, hot dogs fries and a HIV test.
