My Black Bear Summer

It was my Black Bear summer where I tagged along with the Utah Division of Wildlife for an extensive study of the bruin in Utah County. I followed all aspects of the bear in Utah including damage control where a bounty is put on a bear for destroying sheep or cattle. I followed government trapper Kim Payne in the Soapstone area of the Uintas where a black bear had been trapped to prevent further sheep kills. I walked with 50 pounds of gear to follow the bounty hunter to kill his reward. This is the first part of my Black Bear Summer when I did a for part series on the black bear in Utah for the local ABC affiliate, KTVX Channel Four News in the 1980's.
KINTV is our way of connecting to family in the past and in the present and to seek stories worthy of movie making. Everyone has a story and everyone has a movie within them. We ask the question: "What's Your Movie About?"
The opening series of episodes of KINTV is to establish who we are and later solicit family KIN stories for movie making and the third phase of KINTV is KIN the Television show where a profession film crew will re-create a family legacy story with actual descendants as the primary actors.
