We need more stories later today. Considering what is going on in the United States, accountability, people need to take accountability for what they do to each other.

This story is one of those inspirational stories that delivers a profound lesson. The undercover Black CEO’s experience of being refused help in his own store highlights the dangers of prejudice and assumptions. It’s a powerful reminder to treat everyone with respect, as appearances can be deceiving, and true character goes beyond first impressions.

Once again a fictional story that really does not reflect reality. The young guy playing on his phone and being so rude would in the real world have been sacked on the spot as would the other two who dismissed the undercover boss after one glance. Why wasn’t the manager aware of the behaviour of the staff, obviously they did not go out of their way to hide how they felt about customers? It would appear that the only staff member worth keeping is the cashier.

Lucky there was a cameraman there to record this unannounced visit. Do people actually believe these mock videos?

In retail, employee's should not be able to have their cell phones out. I've been in stores where a cashier was on their phone instead of taking care of customers

I didn't know if this story is true or a skit but white people really do treat other races this way. I deal with it almost every day.

"This video is absolutely inspiring and thought-provoking! The way Terence Hall went undercover as a regular customer to uncover the truth about his own store's culture is both bold and commendable. The contrast between employees like Denise, who radiate professionalism and kindness, and those with dismissive or biased attitudes, highlights an important lesson about leadership and accountability. What struck me the most was his decision to address the issues head-on with honesty and implement real changes, starting from himself. This story is a powerful reminder that creating a fair and respectful environment begins at the top. Thank you for sharing such a meaningful message!

The lessons of this story strongly need to be applied to our world of Healthcare in the US. There's no law that medical personnel have to be nice or friendly. But the medical profession needs to acknowledge that stress is a major contributor to illness. And cold, dismissive or indifferent treatment definitely causes stress. When a medical assistant is ordering you to pull up your shirt so EKG leads can be applied to your chest, with nary a social word of respect and a look on her face that says "i hate this job and you, you old b----h," that definitely causes stress. And a doctor that rudely and loudly talks over you or automatically dismisses your concerns makes a patient feel as if they just paid someone to not help them and to insult them in the process. If members of the medical profession are working under more & more strain, organize and do something about it!

How is this a 'black struggle'? the employee was just plain rude and indifferent which had nothing to do with color. In addition, all other employees observed and encountered were doing their jobs satisfactorily - so what's the big hoo-hah beef the owner is complaining about? Saying that a 'training program' is necessary...why!? Because of one single slacker? Everyone else was just fine. This story makes no sense in headlining racial bias OR universally bad employee attitude..
