I think in the second one, because the maid was...no longer among the living...she was involuntarily cursing and/or poisoning the food with her "undead aura" or something.🤢In the first one, I was extra creeped out that Ted asked the kids to close their eyes to put the glasses on because it used to be commonplace for restaurants (in the US at least) to give kids little disposable trinkets like glasses or hats and the kids unreservedly loved to wear them.
