I mean, to each their own. And I do appreciate other people's work and artistry, it's just that in terms of useful information and skills that can be applied in real life Lisa's channel is definitely one of the best if not the best on TH-cam.
+Helga Sinclair exactly! I'm sorry but layers upon layers for each makeup look is not artistry. It's like wearing a mask. You look completely different once the makeup is removed. Lisa is a world famous makeup ARTIST who works with celebrities, magazines, and makeup brands. Her editorial work is superb!

You were the reason I was able to find my own beauty after having a child, and you taught me 90% of what I know about makeup and its application. I was going to a party and watched your smoky eye on that beautiful actress whose name I can't remember. Amazing video for someone who has never tried smoky shadow. i think my favourite thing about lisa is how geeky she is when it comes to makeup. you see her eyes lighting up when she talks about a certain era or person she admires for their style or way of doing their makeup, i love people like that.

I ever liked jewelry or rings really, but I love Lisa's and wish I had similar ones! That says a lot! :)
If you look at her rings the red one has a companion and is yellow color. She also has rainbows theme. Blue, Green, Yellow, Red/Yellow.
I wish I could get my hands on some rings similar to Lisa's! They are gorgeous and I love the simplicity.

Amazing! I remember the first time I saw Ziggy and I was enthralled. I couldn't have been more than eight years old and I thought he was so exotic. You just took me back. David Bowie has always been one of my favorite performers, I loved to just watch him move and articulate himself. You did him justice, good girl.

The shop in Rome he mentioned could be the one in Via Della Scrofa 71. It used to sell theatrical make up and I remember a brand called Cinecitta' ( The place where most of The Italian And American movies set up have been Made). Now there is another Parfumery But nothing like The like of what I recall.

This is such a lovely tutorial! But I will say that seeing you with bleached eyebrows was a bit of a shock, especially since you are very much in love with the natural brow! But it just proves your commitment to making quality videos!

it only takes a few moments to dye them back brown. obviously, you can't do this dozens of times, but it's fine sporadically.
Its more effective to bleach them first. They are back to normal again now though : ) X

I dont really do much with my own eyebrows but Ive glued and soaped, bleached and coloured hundreds of models eyebrows over the past 20 odd years doing makeup in the fashion industry .... poor things! Although I do always put them back to normal (or better than normal) at the end of the shoot, as Im sure all the models Ive worked with would testify ; ) X

yes, please do this!
+jcjccmz I'm not Lisa, but I've been doing my own for a while now. Buy the colour and developer on Amazon (professional size tint) and buy either a mixing pot or use an old plastic cap (from anything, mines a screw one so has a perfect amount in the centre for product) and an eyeliner brush to apply with precision. It lasts longer and is less harsh than the eylure kits in stores. You'll work out what works for you, and if you don't, use a tiny amount and keep going back in with tint.

Lisa, do you have any suggestions on how to cover your natural (dark) eyebrows to then colour them for a costume? Any options less radical than bleaching?
A very fast trick that doesnt cost a lot of money is to use a glue stick/ pritt stick to smooth down your brow hairs. When the glue is dry you just cover them up with concealer.
+MsUltraKawaii you can smooth them out with kids glue stick and a comb, and cover them layering concealer and translucent powder, drag queen style.
