Paul Rodgers. Damn. THAT is what a rock star in his 60's looks and sounds like when it all hasn't been ravaged by drugs and alcohol. Many decades of clean living. His more recent performances are still this good. Legend!
AGREED. The guy was asked to join the freaking Doors when Morrison died. Same for Deep Purple. Find a better rock voice from all those decades. The RRHOF are idiots.
The music from Bad Company and Queen was life changing in the 70s. NOBODY had ever heard ANYTHING like Queen.. To see young people in the audience going nuts over the music now that we did 50 yrs ago tells you of the quality of this music. There is nothing being made anywhere that is as good as this is and was.
I have always loved Bad Co. This song took on special meaning when played at an amazing friend's funeral. He was a phenomenal guitar player and loved this song. He died in a tragic car accident. Thank you, Paul Rodgers for this amazing song. Your voice is beautiful. Queen made this even more special. RIP David RIP Kevin
Love the guitar solo at 2.32 Brian really hit the sweet spot, the look on Roger Taylor's face confirms this. Paul Rogers and queen, can't go wrong really🤟
Swa then perform in Cardiff a few years ago .Brilliant ( it made up for the postponed Queen concert in 1974 when FM had laryngitis .Highlight for me was Paul Rogers
Can't beat this song with Paul Rodgers on vocals and the remaining members of "Queen", it's a great track!. had this on the other day and hadn't heard it for a while, now I keep whistling it under my breath. this was a great hybrid band mix while it lasted...they were brilliant live when I saw them perform in Glasgow.
I saw this tour. I love Paul Rodger and I love Queen. I think it was a great temporary combination. The show was incredible. Get the double-CD ...it's excellent.
Yes ,we saw them together in the UK .Unbelievable ! We also saw Bad Company at the same venue. I would love this to be played at my funeral - obvs I d miss it so you tube will do for now😅
Absolutely. The lyrics are everything. I hear 2 profound messages in this. One is encouragement. Go for your dreams! Johnny made it. But listen carefully. "All the world will love JUST AS LONG AS YOU ARE A SHOOTING STAR". When your flame of fame passes on to others the world goes with them, and there you are. Suddenly alone. It's sad but true. So important to stay grounded.
Paul Roger’s has a great voice, and he STILL has a great voice. But the best thing about Paul Rogers is that he is a nice guy and a down to Earth guy. He is truly the people’s rock star. The other thing I really admire about Paul is the fact that every time he sings a song, he innovates and gives it a fresh twist so that there is both something familiar AND something new to listen to at the same time. I also admire his versatility. Not only can he sing his own songs but he can sing the classic blues songs as well. Definitely my favorite blues rock singer. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I think it's fair to say Freddie and Paul had different vocal styles. Freddie more powerful and operatic, while Paul is more bluesy and soulful.. But both great in their own right.
My favourite live version of Shooting Star sung by the greatest Rock singer ever to come out of the UK, imo. Brian May on guitar & Roger Taylor on drums are also superb.
Song writer, musician, keys, guitar, voice superb, showman, clean living, humble, kind to his fans, helps animals, and he's helped so many along the way from waaaaay back that most people don't know about with his counsel and connections... Led Zep, Eagle Joe Walsh, etc. He's beloved and respected.
Paul Rodgers wrote many great songs. He also is a verry gifted musician and is considered by many to be one of the best rock blues singers. Thanks Paul for your contribution to the music world.

I was lucky enough to see Bad Company with Paul and also with The Firm. You have to see him live to understand why he is known as The Voice. Brian Mays playing goes right with this song.
An excellent rendition of this song, big fan of both queen and Paul! Bri and Roger give it a very different take music wise. Wish they had played this in the later UK tour as it would have been a great crowd participation song.

Since i found this song i play it every day and can not get it out my head. I know some one that this happened to just like this song says that took their own life some one that i was very close to so it means alot to me.
Crazy how even after 50 years of listening to Paul Rodgers I still get goosebumps when I hear his voice. Simply one of the best voices in rock ever
Absolutely! Still gets me.
i have only recently discovered him, i have been living under a rock.
he is one of the best ever ❤, so smooth.what a voice
Peter , correction , He is THE best rock vocal …🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍
He is not one of the best.Aint no one who comes close
Paul Rodgers has one of those unforgettable voices. Saw him with Bad Company & with Queen 🖤💙🖤💙🖤
Paul Rodgers. Damn. THAT is what a rock star in his 60's looks and sounds like when it all hasn't been ravaged by drugs and alcohol. Many decades of clean living. His more recent performances are still this good. Legend!
Really, he's had more work done than the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Arguably, one of the best rock vocalists ever. Chris Cornell had that title for a brief period, but Paul got it back with Cornell’s untimely passing.
Good information to have...
Spot on!...👍
I was thinking the same thing. He looks so young and I look so old and was 14 when I first heard Bad Company.
Paul Rodgers not being in the rock and roll hall of shame is LUDACRIS.
AGREED. The guy was asked to join the freaking Doors when Morrison died. Same for Deep Purple. Find a better rock voice from all those decades. The RRHOF are idiots.
If you knew about the people behind the R&R HOF , you wouldn't care about the award.
Much of the audience weren't alive when these guys started making great music. Just shows that quality lasts!
I think Paul is the greatest voice in rock history.
You are correct sir..
One of them
Agree!!
@@rosemarygranat Sammy Hager is the other goat
Right beside Sammy Hagar
Paul Rodgers and Paul Carrack are two legends whose vocal abilities have never faded over time. Just as good today as they were decades ago.
two best voices ever
Fully agree with that..👍🏻🏴
My favorite male rock singer. I am a former vocal coach, and I think he is enthralling. His voice is amazing.
Paul Rodgers is the best -- and from the first moment I heard Allright Now - I knew he was special.
The music from Bad Company and Queen was life changing in the 70s. NOBODY had ever heard ANYTHING like Queen.. How is he not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
Yes well over due 👏
It’s pretty much based on the opinion of a handful of people.
Instead the Green Day puke is in there.
Excellent question but then the greats seem to get passed over for people like Dolly Parton! Ugh!
I have found out that they asked him to be in the HOF. He declined stating that Rock and Roll doesn't belong in a Museum.
My favourite voice growing up, and I still never tire of his seemingly effortless delivery. Bravo!
Yes! You never see him screaming to get a note out. Amazing singer!
Love the guitar solo at 2.32 Brian really hit the sweet spot, the look on Roger Taylor's face confirms this. Paul Rogers and queen, can't go wrong really🤟
This guys vocal is one of the best I ever heard
Paul Rodgers and Queen were a perfect marriage. Superb.
Swa then perform in Cardiff a few years ago .Brilliant ( it made up for the postponed Queen concert in 1974 when FM had laryngitis .Highlight for me was Paul Rogers
Superb! Paul Rogers really fits well with Queen. He lends a real rock band feel to the outfit.
Say what you like about this version of Queen but they sound incredible and are just a joy to watch play.
Paul Rodgers, the best male rock singer on earth.

Paul doesn't seem to age, in fact I think he looks better now. And that voice!
What a beautiful song this is...isn’t it. ❤️

@@loriholloway5866 This is probably Paul's tribute to Paul Kossoff.

I really liked this version... a lot. Paul's voice just seems to get better with age. Brian May has got the style and tone down perfectly.
I've followed his history of different bands he created, and love every song I've heard of his. And he is so fine to look at too!!
Yes he is very fine!
Paul is a fantastic singer and this 'combo' works very well!
Love Paul and his amazing voice!
That's a great song , dedicated to all the rock legends that left way too soon , thanks to allll
What a team of legends on this stage. Epic performance here. Paul Rodgers sir, you bring the magic! A living legend in our time. God bless!
I've heard every song he's ever sung and they're all so effortless!
Brilliant version. May solo was excellent!
Greatest collaboration ever, Long Live Queen and Long Live Bad Co. !!!!!!
What a voice, I can't get this song out of my head I love it and I think Paul Rogers is the greatest

Blows me away how many times I've 3:02 listen to this and never gets old!
I think it's fair to say Freddie and Paul had different vocal styles. Freddie more powerful and operatic, while Paul is more bluesy and soulful.. But both great in their own right.
Yes, perfect description of both.
Fair assessment.
They were definitely different..but neither was a disappointment..and Paul bought a whole not of good songs with him

Another Masterclass in Soulful Rock vocals, backed by virtuosity.

THE voice!!!
Nice job guys. Tight, precise. Still such a clear, resonant voice Paul. You and Queen would make Freddy proud.
A great song pushed into the stratosphere by the mystical tone of the Red Special.

This song was inspired by the passing of Paul Kossoff, his band mate from Free, who sadly passed at the age of 26.
