It rather amazes me that people in the EU, such as the speaker, Professor Georgios Papakonstantinou, say "It is possible that we will have Donald Trump coming back as president", rather than simply saying "There are elections in the US in November, which makes the direction of US policy uncertain,"
The uncertainty is unnecessarily magnified by the use of Trumps name. And, unfortuately, casts a pall over the integrity of the US.

"The uncertainty is unnecessarily magnified by the use of Trumps name. And, unfortuately, casts a pall over the integrity of the US." - unfortunate for the US, but fortunate for all others as the warning is truthful and accurate. Donald Trump is a wildcard, and while that was good before when he was in opposition to bad policies, now he is in opposition to necessary actions (eg. supporting Ukraine) for the west, or even the world, to not fall into a decade of horrible wars.
