Great video and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try it and have a blessed day
Thanks bro GOD bless you and the family 🎉
Congratulations J!!!! 100K
I picked up a bottle of this one. The dry down is exceptional! At first spray, it is very peppery, but that fades and the woody dry down is what sold me after testing a sample on skin while walking around for a few hours.
Also, Congrats On 100k!
Lacquer Also Relates To the Mastering and Duplication Process For the Old School Vinyl Records. It's the First Thing That Came To My Mind When You Said "Plasticky". In The Context Of Lacquer It Makes Perfect Sense. 😂
Yeah, an acetate master is also known as a lacquer in some quarters. We always just called them acetates.
Or dubplates
@@barryfrombarnsley2790 Thank You Sir, I Can Tell That You Are An Expert On This Subject. Were You a Mastering Engineer By Chance. Or Did You Own a Vinyl Pressing Facility.
@@RobertPlatinum not in the mastering or manufacturing sides, but I worked as an audio engineer in the early ‘00s through to about 2012 or so, and was also involved in soundsystems that used to play acetates/dubplates before they had been released to the public as 12”s. This was fairly common practice in the Jamaican soundsystem and UK dance music scene.
@@barryfrombarnsley2790 That's Awesome! I've Always Loved Audio Engineering. It Must've Been Fascinating To Witness The Changes From Then To Now. I've Known Several People That Claimed to Like Audio Engineering, But As Soon As the Discussion Goes Below Surface Level Their Eyes Glaze Over and Look Disinterested.
Despite the many criticisms over price and new releases not being as good as the old ones that i have. This fragrance reminds me that they still have that creative edget at tom ford. One of those brands, like Creed, where despite controversy, you cant deny the bangers.
It’s different to me that’s partially why I like it.
Nitrocellulose lacquer is used in finishing wooden furniture and high end guitars.
(It’s basically a type of spray paint)
Have you seen and are you planning on reviewing the new creed fragrance? Looked interesting from the 30 second glance at fragrantica I took lol
cool sweater where did u get it?
Side note to Tom Ford fragrances: you told us on several occasions that you love Ebene Fume. I smelled this in a store a few days ago and I think it's near identical clone of Nasomatto Duro from 2007. However, Duro is better in terms of performance and has a slightly oudy/patchouli funk to it that makes it a bit more interesting.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Despite the similarities they might have to you, it doesn’t change how I feel about the Tom Ford nor how I will continue to feature it.
@@stayfreshproductions it wasn't meant to change your mind, only mention it in case you did not know! I feel like it's still worth mentioning to the other people reading this, as TF tends to be quite expensive and Duro is sort of affordable. Cheers!
funny i love eau ombre leather, i think its great and lasts really long
Congrats
It smells interesting. It’s unique in composition, but as a scent itself, not really. Reminded by Mortal Skin which I find Mortal Skin more better than the Tom Ford. Definitely not for me, but it’s pretty ok. Gotta be a character to rock it
I got a 2ml sample of this, and when I smelled it, I felt like I have smelled this DNA before, and realised it has similar DNA to Montblanc Black Meisterstruck. but the MB BM has a more fresh dry down. However, both share the same opening DNA of smoky, and incense.
I came into this thinking this was going to be black licorice in a fragrance 🤣, not a fan of black licorice at all. Congrats on 100k my man!
sadly in the drydown the peony flower ruins it for me. makes it smell too much like a room scent. else it was a hit personally
Second
It wasn’t a “gift.” It was a down payment on your endorsement.
Lol. So you believe I can pay my expenses with a used Tom Ford fragrance…?
First🙌🏽
I just bought a bottle of the Neroli Portofino; such a great scent. Congrats on 100k!
I think they sprayed Black Lacquer on a card for me, but I got volatiles and spray paint and they threw the card away before i could really get a nose for it.
@@H..M.. makes sense given lacquer is often a term that refers to basically spray paint, well, stuff used for finishing furniture, etc
