I own the Krome EX 88, and after hearing the comparisons, I am very thankful that I chose the it over the Kross. I have had only one problem with the EX and that is a lazy G5 key. After only around 30 hours of play, one cannot perform trills involving the G5 key - returns to NWML height far too sluggishly. I do not know what it will cost to have it repaired, but the sounds are great and the weighted keys are everything I expected them to be. (I have been using Korg piano/workstations since the 01W/proX88).
If you have enough money just go for the Modx, it has the better sound among the 3.Next is krome, but if you want a very lightweight keyboard choose the kross 2
Depende sa preference, and budget, though hindi nagkakalayo ang price nila. Krome EX has solid build(aluminum casing), and mas semi weighted yung keys compared sa Kross na ang gaan tipain ng tiklado. Plus may touch screen. Pero ang Kross naman, may sampler pad and mas maliit ang footprint. In terms of sound, in my opinion, mas makapal ang tunog ng Krome EX overall kesa Kross.
I prefer it this way.. after recording and mastering music I always play it thru several different platforms to hear how it sounds. Besides ..this is a comparison between the 2 with the same mic.. it's not like one was direct in and one wasn't.

Can you tone down the high end on the korg kross 2 to make sound more smooth like the korg krome?

In my own opinion i think Krome is better than kross 2. What i’d like in kross 2 is it has a sampler pad.

Yeah I’m been using the krome EX and Kross 2 for 2years now so i can say Krome Ex is much better.
Kross 2 sounds brighter than the krome. The krome just sounds muddy and dull.
both have pros and cons, however they do compliment one another quite well and make a great gigging set up. Both lite weight and both boards under 1K
