    One of the great mysteries in flightsim history. Why A330 driver never used the BAE146 mod for MSFS 2020 in any of his video's, until today. It is my favourite aircraft for msfs.

      @musiqtee 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, but that’s fine… If he did all the “important stuff” (fill in your blanks…) the first two years of msfs2020, we’d be on emotional ‘low fuel warning’ waiting for msfs2024 by now…? 😅
      Time is a good friend, not an enemy (unless you’re an employer…?) 🙈👍

    I can't even really explain why I never got around flying the BAE146 in the first place - but this has come to an end now. Thank you very much @justflight for providing my copy of the BAE146 and thank you for creating such an awesome airplane! LET'S GO!

      Schöner Flieger. Ich kann mich noch an viele schöne Stunden mit der QualityWings Ultimate 146 im FS2004 erinnern. Ich glaube, ich sollte mir so lang am mal den neuen MSFS anschauen.

      For cruise, I use TGT on thrust computer and dial in the target temp to around 700, you may adjust 2-3 times, but after that it holde speed very well.

    FINALLY!
    In my opinion the best and most underrated (with other JF airliners)!
    I love flying it, it really is fun to fly when you learn it! When i had finally learned it, i went on a trans atlantic crossing: Absolute blast!
    I don't know why but i love that electrical sound that the starter makes, probably my favorite sound inside of a cockpit.
    Great video as well!

    I am so glad you finally flew the BAE 146. Hands down one of my best aircraft for MSFS. The more I flew this bird the more I liked it. And now it's easily one of my top aircrafts in the sim. Just one thing to note before taking off and landing if you press the cabin call button on the overhead you get a nice announcement to the cabin that in my opinion really adds to the overall immersion of this aircraft. Great video.

    Thanks for taking this for a flight; i already bought this from Just Flight as i remember the 146 coming into service when it was new as a boy and an aircraft enthusiast, it was so quirky and so...British! One of my favourites in msfs for sure.

    Man, this plane really needs to be flown VOR to VOR. I wish Simbrief had a VOR to VOR option, I typically just make my own route with Little Nav Map.

    • @peterellis49
      @peterellis49 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a drop down in simbrief to allow vor to vor flight planning, select this and your flight plan will generate with vor navigation only, I use it all the time with the 146

    Absolutely an iconic aircraft and has always been right up there with the best for shear enjoyment. I still have the Avro in fsx which I sometimes fly and love it. JF have done a good job and if there are still planned improvements it's gonna be in my hangar!

    I remember these being regular at EGHI back in the early 2000s; I took them to AGP and back a couple of times. It explains the relatively long run-up before takeoff roll. I always wondered about that, sitting for 30 seconds with the motors at full chat. Lovely aircraft.

    Yej, BAe146. There's nothing cooler looking than an BAe146/Avro RJ from certain angles (like in the Thumbnail) in civil aviation. Can't wait for the Avro - then it is better suitable for modern flying as well

    I flew on this plane a lot as a kid. AirCal and PSA for the most part. So when Just Flight published it for MSFS it was an instant buy just for the nostalgia. I don't fly it too often, though. I prefer more modern aircraft with VNAV.

    Appreciate your videos! I'm a private pilot so getting into the sim isn't a continuation of what I do for work. We are fortunate to have you and the other few RW ATP's that create content that give us additional insight into aviation. Don't know how y'all do it, especially after come home after a turn and jump into a sim and produce great videos...checklist?? TMS needs to be off during engine start...:) You never went over auto-pilot sync mode...cool feature of this bird.

    Great video as usual Emi, be sure to do a follow up on the Avro RJ when it arrives. Full glass cockpit version. I do love this analogue steam gauge version though as it forces you to be a more observant cockpit manager. I have flown on this aircraft twice, from London City to Jersey and back a week later. It is quite noisy back there in the cabin, so "the whisper jet" moniker was probably more for the folks on the ground. Gear and Flaps racket was off the scale :-). It is a great aircraft into and out of really short fields.

    Flew the 146 with Atlantic Southwest Airlines based in Atlanta. Loved the 146 with one exception. It handled like a giant C-172 or 182....with massive trailing gear shocks, it was hard to make a bad landing.....I hated the pressurization system, the PSID was so low, if center held you at altitude for any reason making a quick descent necessary, the aircraft would always catch the cabin....which would then descend with the aircraft. You want to piss off some people...descend the cabin at over 2,000 FPM!!!

    I have trouble controlling my throttle with this plane and the autopilot disengages at times when I fly it. Also the VS is hard to use where you have to push up or pull down with the yoke and then engage it. You seemed to use the pitch knob on the center consul. I wish you would explain that. You flew this so well. Would be nice to see a tutorial by you on this excellent and unique plane for MSFS.

    @zdp-189 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I love this plane, this is right next to your 737-800 as my fav to fly, albeit Im stuck on Xbox SX. It’s a great older, non “follow the magenta line and hit few AP button” older approach I like, made for lil learning curve like AN-225 or Concorde for example, but well worth it to master. Even details like stairs coming out cold cuz of gravity, but not coming up unless u have PTU/AC hydraulic pressure built up. Test buttons, temp, all accurately modeled- I will buy Avro when comes out even though just a more modern avionic vers! EDIT: My transponder button 1 works fine for me, just did FID BAW322 now. Butttt, when I hit the request weather button on datalink, it ALWAYS crashes game- rather bugs me that one!

  • @JohnFrancis66
    @JohnFrancis66 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I heard with the last update that the weather radar was actually implemented correctly in that the elevation works correctly and the returns aren't the same general eye in the sky overview--JustFlight said it wasn't a limitation of MSFS, just that it was tricky to implement correctly, which is why no one has done it. Would be interested in any testing you could do to see if that's correct. Thanks!

    bae146 was released a while ago with the default cj4 fms which i hear is going to get a custom version soon. but we jumped all over the e-jets not yet having a fms after a year into their 'early access' alpha, maybe we've been too harsh on the e-jets? although the cockpit textures of the 146 looks more realistic.

    • @TheSAfreak
      @TheSAfreak 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Cause the BAE146 was retrofitted with the exact same PL21 FMS that the CJ4 has, just stripped down as it apparent between what is capable of the CJ4 and the BAE's variants of the FMS. The PL21 was never a stock option of the BAE146 when it came out. Another FMS, the UNS-1 is currently in development. It's not really the same as the e-jet situation because the PL21 in the B146 does exactly what it was meant to which is lateral guidance for RNAV based flight

    • @A330Driver
      @A330Driver  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The difference between the two is that the E-Jet is basically an Airbus flying the Boeing way - aka a highly modern and integrated jet and the developer FSS even goes far enough to lie about the real planes capabilities (remember when he reasoned that the real Ejets VNAV would suck and used that as an excuse why they didn’t include it in the simulated plane?). The 146 is an old school airliner which didn’t have an FMS until late models got retrofitted in first place.
      Also JustFlight is very clear about what’s included and what is not while FSS needed a shitstorm to stop lying and become honest in first place and now - a year later - are still to deliver on their basic new custom FMS, of which we still don’t know in which state that even is…

    • @kdfw3686
      @kdfw3686 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@A330Driver yeah, guess fss tried to get away by floating bad excuses. Seems they are working on the fms and are trying to be more transparent so as a buyer I can only hope it all comes together *soon*.

    It would be interesting for you to include an in-flight or other type of emergency in one of your videos. I mean how would a real operation flown by a real pilot be affected by say an engine failure or avionics failure, or whatever rocks your boat

    Pretty sure they’ve also stated that there’s no markup on the cost of the AI voices so that’s essentially simply the cost of the service. Would it be nice if the technology eventually becomes more affordable? Sure, but until then they’ve provided an option for offline use which costs nothing so if the price point is too high but you still want to use it then you aren’t completely shut out. Personally, I think it’s a good compromise between a full subscription (which got an enormous amount of pushback) and people who simply don’t want to have any additional cost.

    Maximum operable altitude of a BAe 146-300 is 31,000 feet on google its 35,000 since its referring to the RJ quite annoying tbh when simbrief makes my 146 climb to 34k feet even though it cannot barely climbs this thing if you have like a 41k TOW its amazing how it will not climb to 30,000 feet

    Those are fun to fly, how ever i don't think any airlines use these planes any more, not so good on fuel cost for flying this, the reason this has 4 engines is because the wingspan is short so this requires more power to say up lol. But fun to fly..
