The key points differs Crane 2S from 3s are:
1，User group,
3s aims for semi-pro & pro users who use cinema cams such as Red KOMODO, Canon C200/300, Sony FS5/7
2s aims mainly for common users who use mid-end mirrorless/DSLR such as SONY A7S3, Canon R5/5d mark3, Panasonic s1h
Note: there is an overlap for compatible cams for 3s &2s but only 3s can carry all 2s models while 2s can’t carry some large form factor cams 3s can work with.
2，Handling design
3s’s sling mode can help users to handle large cams.,
2s only has a vertical handling model so only smaller cams can be carried.
3， Vertical screen shooting mode
3s needs extra accessory for vertical screen shooting mode.
2s natively supports vertical screen shooting mode.

my crane 2 shakes so much when im not using my GH5 IBIS and zoomed in really far. Does yours do this? I think i may have damaged my cranes 2 motors when i got it in 2018 and now ithat i properly use it i only just learnt how to balance and calibrate it properly so im thinking the damaged reason makes the most sense. Shame i cant afford the 2S for a while though

So everyone was all excited when gimbal makes went with the lower back arm thing so you could see the screen of your camera. Now this NEW gimbal is back to the old design? Is there some advantage with this older design, especially at $600, over the newer ones like the Crane 3S that can also handle bigger rigs as well?
I check the video carefully, and found that just like crane 3s , crane 2s also comes with Extendable Arm. remove the extendable arm and see the screen.

Just got mine and it’s just shaking uncontrollably on the lowest motor power setting. Bmpcc6k loaded and perfectly balanced.
Did you try turning it on and off again?

I just bought the Crane 2s. My LG Stylo 4 is not compatible with ZY Play so I cannot activate my gimbal. Other than activation, what all will ZY Play be required for with the Crane 2s?

I'm wondering if this would hold a BMP4K full rig? And can it be mounted without the batterygrip like 3s? Or should I just go for the 3s?
Just got it today it holds a 4k with sigma 18-35 it's rock steady
I like gimbals but I haven't got the patience to keep setting them up. I would rather have in built camera/lens stabilisation. My Canon 80d does nice video but if I want video I reach for my Osmo action. I know the quality isn't as good but its good enough.

Would you say removable batteries are better than built-in? Cause this way adds an extra charger to carry around but it does mean you can buy extras and swap them out...
I like removable batteries, I used to get other extra 3 batteries for outside shooting.
These are regular lithium ION 18650's. Wouldn't know what kind of power these should be able to handle, but some Sony VTC6's should allow for plenty of capacity and definitely have more than enough power (Rated for 25A). Probably a bit overkill as it ain't a powertool.
This vs. Crane 3 lab??
how does it work underslung? the ronin s is notorious for being really bad underslung. I'm about to send mine back.

Thanks for the review! I'm new to the idea of gimbals, at around 5:50 you show some side to side footage. It seems jumpy. Is that in the camera or the gimbal?
I believe it is just a frame-rate mismatch between his composition and the footage.
Definitely doesn't look like the gimbal to me; hope that helps!

So what I'm curious about: What is the maximum payload of this new Crane 2s? I'm still using the old Zhiyun Crane 1. Feels like an oldtimer at the moment.
I used the Crane v2 up until last month with Bmpcc4k

Lovely gimbal indeed. Just a shame the prices don't appear to get much lower. Although, if they have improved the motor robustness and longevity you should get more long term life out of it. I know a lot of older middle end prosumer gimbals could become quite unreliable after a year or so of continued use. Irregardless of a battery replacement.

@@michaelfilmmaker2870 Yes, it's certainly a competitive price for its class. But I guess they're not enough prosumers yet to see any significant reduction in prices overall. But that may change as more people take up mirrorless film making.
@@PatrickChapmanuk I remember the price of crane 2 is 749usd launched at 2017, the price of Ronin s is 799usd launched at 2018, now crane 2s is 599usd. Just agree with you, the price will be lower and lower, maybe they will have discount in coming pomotion season inlcuding Primeday and Black Friday.
Kai is a nice camera reviewer and I like his review but he doesn't know how to balance gimbal 7:13 and it makes footage shaky
But why this when the weebill S is so good?
Like he mentioned, it supports larger cameras.
@@kprox1994 but hasn't the Weebill got powerful gears that can support pretty heavy cameras too? ( i use heavy relatively)
weebill s will work up to around a 5d4 and 24-70. the crane2 will take a 1dx and 70-200, or a proper cine camera without problems.

@@loudandclearmedia I expected that to be the case! I was considering getting a Weebill S as its cheaper than the Ronin S and has more balancing space than the Ronin SC, but everyone says the horizon goes off quite a bit.

Trust me, it's the same with a gimbal that doesn't block it
As soon as you lower it or want to take a shot from above, you can't use a ''fixed'' screen, so if your camera has a tilting screen, it'll be fine

i have crane 2 and it is beautiful with its red ring the gold and the s symbol are ugly on the new version
The gold looks so much better. The red is what was putting me off especially when looking at Weeble s
A M the red was canon like and not too much , it looked nice and decent.To me the gold looks like china or oriental bling bling😁 europeans usually dont like this

I've owned 2 Zhiyun gimbals. Both were junk including the app and customer service. Never again. 👎
Im about to choose between zhiyun weebil s or dji ronin sc. May I know whats the issue you had with zhiyun?
morpheusmorph My Weebill S broke after 5 weeks, then took 5 weeks to repair....trigger stopped working. Build quality is a bit naff too. I also have the Crane M2, no issues with that one.
@@DaveBartram so they did not replace your gimbal? How is it now?
morpheusmorph No, they replaced the trigger. Only had it back since Monday so yes it now works, but not really tested it properly yet. Probably gonna order a Ronin now, it’s just put me off with the breakage and the build quality.
@@DaveBartram welp, i was about to buy this instead, consider for the compact size and also the ability to move the tripod and easier to do low angle shot.
