Sheku Kanneh-Mason was beautifully captivating at the Royal Wedding yesterday! And it is a wonderful thing that they are all so supportive of each other, all in the name of a great musical outcome. Bravo to them all!
Sheku won the Prestigious Young Musician of the Year competition a couple of years ago. I would love to live next door to them ! I would keep my windows open all day long.🎹🎻
PurelyAfrican That’s a shame but I’m sure it won’t hold her back. I think the parents are such good people, that is the key. Love is at the heart of that family; you can see that. Truly inspirational.

Jennifer Yearwood, I am black. But I don't know where you are getting the data from that says playing multiple instruments is a common factor in many black households. This family is unique, so please don't diminish their accomplishments by saying it's the norm.
@@Wendy17719 it is the norm to play multiple instruments in Africa. Its just not accessible to have western classical instruments because of cost.
Just watching 8.11.20 on Strictly Come Dancing, playing Ave Maria ... absolutely wonderful ... what a talented family.

I do not know enough about Dad, but did have the privilege and pleasure of hearing Mum on BBC Radio 3's Private Passions. Highly recommended. With a mother like her, success guaranteed. Yet, each child remains unspoilt.

Station 2 no they are not
They are not!! Just encouraged the first daughter...and then ALL the rest.
PurelyAfrican their grade got grade 8 distinction on piano and also played cello; their Mum learnt piano violin and clarinet as a child. They’re not professional musicians but both parents played instruments as kids.
