Very nice tutorial. Can we colour the background first, before the fruit and the cat? Would we end up with similar lovely piece of art? Thanks. I like the metallic gold finishing, it is so beautiful frame.
How do I say it ? Beautiful, amazing, fantastic, pretty and a lot of other words to tell you how much I like and love what you do!!!!! Thank you so much for this present at the start from 2017, you really are the best Shirley,
Absolutely stunning! Funny how I have used lines to color flowers and animal fur but for some reason never thought to used it on leaves. Duh… I'll be doing some of my leaves that way too from now on. 😁 How long did this take you? It would have taken me months.
Absolutely stunning as usual Shirley. Wish you lived near me to so we could color together and you could give me some much needed help. LOL. You are truly an inspiration. QQ: Why did you go with the Posca marker instead of gel pen when you did the butterfly? Just wondering whether it was because the marker is easier to control the paint output, and gel pens can skip and be uneven, or if it was something about the paint being more opaque or flat. Thank you!
You re so sweet, thank you Jennifer. I prefer Posca marker because Posca can release much more pigments onto the nib, so it will never have the blocking problem which gel pen always has. It's so good for drawing dots:)
Are you using a really light touch on each layer. I have been following and mine don't look as good. I think I may be pressing harder than you. All the best and thanks for sharing. Sean
Thanks for watching Sean. The paper of this book seems thick enough, but when I press just little bit harder, after several layers I will roughen the surface...So I need color with light strokes on this book. If you have the same problem as I do?
