This is the beauty of football, seeing 100k+ fans enjoying the celebrations and having a memorable night they will never forget! From beating Villa and Lille, they earned their European title, and a moment they will NEVER forget.

A historic night for Greek football and especially for Olympiacos whose fans had the wild dream of a european title/cup in football for so many decades and now the job is finally done. I saw people crying in the streets for this out of pure joy and for the endless struggle from all the past years. Tens of thousands of people stayed until 5 am in the morning at the city center of Piraeus waiting for the team to arrive

Last summer I was working as a driver in Santorini, and many of the customers were English and West Ham fans, I congratulated them on the Conference League, and admired their achievement. And now I see my team Olympiacos achieving the same, and countless English people congratulating Olympiacos. When Oly lost 4-1 at home to Maccabi only 55 fans went to the away game. Marinakis gave those 55 fans, tickets to the final even though Olympiakos were given only 9k tickets and had demand for 500k. Class act.
They couldn't go more, for safety cause war Serbia allowed only around 1000 total, that's why had only 55
He didn't actually give us tickets he allowed us to buy them, which was still amazing

I want to mention one more thing about marinakis because natinham forest should be happy to have him .The guy has a passion for what he touches , loves his team and other day on the final invites a paoks fan from thesaloniki that is in a wheel chair to wach the final and after the game the team took pics with the kid and he said iam a paok fan but i am suporting olimpiacos today, also olimpiacos paid respect with a wreath of flowers to an AEK fan Michalis katstouris RIP that was killed in Aeks stadium last year by Croatian fans to do a gesture like that goes beyond football and showes the person mr marinakis a person with a heart of gold. Give it a year or two and notingham forest will get a title in the premiere league. Pame thrylos we never stop dreaming..

The chant about the crazy dream of a final with olympiacos was made playing champions league against juve in delealpi final score 2-1 at 8 of ch.l. in next game dreams ended because of bad weather that changed balls direction.. i was in delealpi and have lived this dream from beginning when we created this chant about 25 years ago

I am an Olympiacos fan since 10 years old kid in 99 my team has two matches in Champions league against Juventus we lost our chance to make it at the top 4 teams back then. I remember when back then I was crying and praying saying Good lord please let my crazy dream cime true to see my team holding a European Trophy now as a man I THANK GOOD LORD THAT THE CRAZY DREAM I HAD AS A KOD IT CAME TRUE.
As for Villa, you will be having an amazing journey in Champions League there is no doubt at that.

In this joyful moment I'd like to pay a remembrance to the people of Hatay region, Turkey. Hatay was one of the regions more affected by the 2023 February earthquake. It left more than 24,000 peole dead, 30,000 injured, hundreds of thousands homeless, just in Hatay. Hatayspor had to withdraw from the Turkish league.
El Kaabi was playing for the club at the time. He signed for Al Saad of Saudi Arabia for 4 months.
And then we signed him. And the rest is history.

congratulations to olympiakos for their success and being another team to pull of a huge upset like Atalanta. Olympiakos were outplayed by fiorentina in this game but fiorentina couldn't finish and olympiankos outlasted them and much deserved it. This club has been largely forgotten in europe so hopefully they start investing for the european stage next season.

I was 24 in New York . The final was on a Sunday July 4 America’s Independence Day. I was in contact with family in Greece . That was one amazing summer . Greece won euro vision and had Olympics that year too. Winning euro 2004 was almost impossible to describe This isn’t that obviously but it means so much also . Olympiacos !!!

Olimpiakos had great talent but coaches that came could not connect the players to make the team a winning team mr mendilibar came in and conected right combination for a wining team.even aston villa on their news confrence before game with olimpiakos barely mentioned them and were talking about premire league and reaching europe next year , underestimated olimpiakos and paid the price 6-2 , lots people say oh they got lucky .as a coach playing your aponent you should see how your aponent got there .First time a team in europe lost 4-1 at home and go away and beat macabi 6-1 ,than go to turkey in front of 50k fans and beat fener it is not a small task. Piraeus was created, in antiquity, as Athens' Port and still is just like that. It is not even a city. Just Athens' Port.

Μακρά τείχη, was a Wall for the road, connecting ancient athens and peiraeus ancient port. Two cradles of population. Nowadays, the relathionship between athens and peiraeus haw changed, one is not attached to the other.

Don't be negative. This week was massive for Greek sport. First Panathinaikos winning the Euroleague and then Olympiacos winning the Conference League. It doesn't happen every week so enjoy the moment😉

@@EvenstarTV it is quite formally a European competition and a European championship. It might be on a different tier due to budget constraints but it shouldn't take anything away from the achievement. No one compared the CL with the conference.
A final three should be played, with the respective winners of the 3 European competitions, so the true European champion could be crowned
