    I have more than 3 years of programming experience as full time software developer. After that I changed my job as network engineer, with routing/switching. But I love programming and I feel DevOps is the position that suits my profession. Because it has both programming skill and network stuffs. Can I be good candidate for this ?

    • @edurekaIN
      @edurekaIN  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Shyam, thanks for checking out our tutorial.
      You can definitely go for DevOps training. DevOps is a culture which cultivates the mindset of taking the end to end responsibility of a software. Hence, if you adopt DevOps, you will be doing the same things but with more ownership, agility, process and automation. You can check out more details here: www.edureka.co/devops.
      Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have any further queries or need any assistance. Alternatively, you can share your contact details with us (we will not make the comment live) and we will get in touch with you. Or you can also reach us at +91 90660 20866 if you prefer that; we're available 24X7. Hope this helps. Cheers!

    Awesome explanation. Clear and steady. I have a question, why microservice needs devops definitely? Can I call any simple application as a micro service and maintain it without devops. Just trying to understand the necessity of devops for running microservice.

    • @edurekaIN
      @edurekaIN  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      DevOps helps you harness the main benefit of microservices - Delivery Speed.
      The main benefit of Microservice architectures is speed - the ability to iterate on individual services quickly and without being tied into monolithic release cycles.
      Hope that solves your query.

    • @edurekaIN
      @edurekaIN  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mounika! Thanks for the compliment.
      Both ssh and https are equivalent, since Git 1.6.6+ (2010) and the implementation of smart http protocol: You can use ssh or https for read/write access to your repos. You can also detect if your remote server supports smart http.
      Hope this is helpful.

    Hii,will u tell me diff between rebase and merge..

    • @edurekaIN
      @edurekaIN  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Mounika! Merging and rebasing are written for the same purpose of incorporating the various changes in your project. The only difference is, rebasing and merging use very different methods to achieve this.
      Let me explain the working with an example, suppose you're working on a particular branch and you've made a few new commits and your friend is working on the master and he's also made a few new commits. You realize that the new changes he's made might be useful in your branch and now you're confused about whether to use rebasing or merging.
      If you choose to use the merge option, It creates a new ""merge commit"" which holds the history commits of both the branches(the branch you were working on and the branch your friend was working on-master).
      If you choose the rebase option, it moves the entire branch that you've been working onto the master. In simpler terms, Moving the base of the branch on a different location.

    Hi team Edureka. may I know the difference between Edureka course on your TH-cam channel and classes thought online over your website.

    • @edurekaIN
      @edurekaIN  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +K S Shastry, thanks for checking out our tutorial!
      First of all, not all concepts are covered in our TH-cam playlist. Also, even though our TH-cam tutorials will give you a good introduction to DevOps, you will need a structured training and hands-on practice to truly master it. Our course will help you with this; it includes assignments after each module and a project towards the end of the course.
      Also, as these are pre-recorded videos on TH-cam, you will not get the benefit of the instructor's experience through doubt clearance. On the contrary, our course is conducted live and comes with 24x7 support and lifetime access to learning material and support. So you will get as much help as needed to completely learn the technology and can even revisit the training at any time. Also, you will get to interact with the instructor in class and learn from their real-world expertise. You can check out our course here: www.edureka.co/devops.
      Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have any more questions. Hope this helps. Cheers!

    How to handle Data model changes and data migration in DevOps?

    • @edurekaIN
      @edurekaIN  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Neelakantha, thanks for checking out our tutorial!
      DevOps teams are stuck in manual database delivery purgatory. Development managers just want the database delivery to work like their software delivery already does. However, databases are a different beast altogether. Unfortunately, DevOps for Database has taken a back seat to source code, as we see the tools and methodologies perfected, leaving database automation to play a game of catch up.
      Hope this helps. Cheers!

      Thank you so much, I had one more query if some company are having some KPI's on Development and QA side, as we know that DevOps is not process its a practice. How they are going to manage the KPI's
      How DevOps practice will supports audit like ISO...

    • @edurekaIN
      @edurekaIN  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Neelakantha, DevOps professionals continuously monitor the performance of their applications and website. While they rely on services like Pingdom and New Relic to alert them about emergencies and events, DevOps KPIs, metrics, and measures allow them to analyze what went wrong. More importantly, perhaps, they allow DevOps teams to be transparent and share metrics with other teams like customer support.The business benefits of DevOps practices are clear. Companies that can deploy changes quickly and reliably are able to introduce new features and improvements in response to the market, and ahead of competitors. Their revenue streams are more dependable, and they can plan better for the future.
      Hope this helps. Cheers!
