awesome cover! i like the little fill you added in with the intro groove and i liked the added snare in verse 2! especially in a live church setting, i think it needed that build into verse 3 when the lead vocalist went up the octave before the chorus. your tempo was great, fill at the end was superb, and you did good following the worship director and not letting his voice get you off beat (or whatever that position is officially named, we don’t have one at my church so i wouldn’t know. google wasn’t much help either 🤣)
Good question. I’m not sure. 😂 Our vocalists sing a lot louder during service than rehearsal, and so sometimes my mix sounds off once things actually get going.

Hey Isaac! My advice for worship drumming would be this: 1.) practice with a metronome 2.) practice lots of single stroke rolls! 3.) practice playing softer than you think (in a church setting, the drums can often overpower the rest of the band; I always have to work on controlling my volume!).
